first time grower, random seed in a bag of local bush weed,it seems to be doing ok,signs of little hairs growing on nodes so im gathering its starting to flowet started off with 5% nitrogen for 2 weeks at 1.5ltr per day then went up to 10% nitrogen on same water cycle for 4 weeks now using 9% nitrogen but have upped the P and the K for flowering stage soil is sandy underneath so drains very well, typical western australia sandy soil https://youtu.be/4bxFg8IivZo

Hey mate!! Gday from QLD. Plants lookin nice mate, most likely because you guys are COVID free hey😀 On the grasshoppers, there’s a guy on here who is in NTH QLD and he gets a lot of mid to large ones this time of year. I saw he made some chicken wire fence around his plant. Here in SEQ, I get small, green wingless grasshoppers, and a couple of treatments of eco neem or eco oil from Bunnings will do the trick. All the best bushy 🍻

Hi mate, is that a searles product?? I’m sure it will be good to use. I have used the searles “flourish” before and it was good! Especially for getting you out of trouble if you get a bit yellowing. From memory it’s not registered organic though. I always try to keep it organic where possible. Check the box to see if it says that. But yeah, you can use it with confidence mate, just back off in the final weeks to flush out a bit. All the best to you in the west matey 👍

Geez thats strange mate?? Could there be males in the area? Give it a few days. Ive sometimes thought i saw seed covers forming but it turned out just to be the way the bud formed. You will know for sure in the next few days. Hope its not a drama for you bro👍🏽

@WestOzzie, I reckon defoliation is more up to the grower and the strain. I would call myself heavy handed, but I top mine a few times so I like to clean out the bottom and middle. Yours isn’t topped, and it’s not real larfy, just those nice big fans which don’t seem to be blocking off any bud sites. I would leave it (pun intended), at least for now.👍

WestOzziecommented4 years ago
@Shooey,yeah and still going, give it maybe a week maybe a week and half till buds start forming, getting a real nice ripe mandarin smell to her now, thoughts on defoliation? will it create bigger/thicker buds?
