These are pics from right before flipping the light schedule and from first week of flower. You can see how bad they looked at this point and how much they’ve grown and bushed out during the stretch. Pistols are popping!!
Getting this journal up mid grow. This is my first run ever. I threw in some bag seed I had laying around while waiting for my order to come from Seedsman and now they’re all growing together. We are on day 29 of 12-12 light schedule, so stretching seems to be done and now just focusing on keeping them healthy and fattening up those buds!
All my plants have purple stems on the leaves at this point. They look totally healthy besides that. Not sure how to resolve the issue or if it is not even big deal. Just don’t want to negatively impact yield. Any advice?
This could be a pre-sign of magnesium deficiency, but your leafs would not be in such good shape. Since all your leafs are looking healthy, and not showing any other sign of nutrient deficiency, this is probably strain related : no worries ! Today marks day 35 of the 12-12 light schedule. Not too much to report this week. She is still going strong just fattening up bud sites at this point. You can see in these pics the Colas starting to form and all the frosty nodes on this girl starting to swell up as well. Another 3-5 weeks to go at least!
She is coming along nicely this week. First few darker hairs starting to show up and the buds are just ripening and swelling all over. Finally starting to stink up the place a bit too. Few weeks left to go!!
Went out of town this week never left the girls more than a day so was crazy to see how much she grew. Really putting on the weight and dark hairs. Even a few purple colors starting to show up in the buds and sugar leaves. Really getting excited for this girl to finish up! Still a few weeks to go for sure though.
Colors this week coming on strong! Sugar leaves are very purple and the big fan leaves starting to fade as well. Today marks day 56 of 12-12 so almost done at this point. Trichomes looking cloudy no amber yet really. We will start flushing and keep checking them. I am guessing a week or 2 max at this point. Really loving the the color change! I’m just getting anxious now they’re so close but I don’t want to chop to early so trying to remain patient. I’m guessing harvest in no more than 2 weeks but we will see how it goes!
This week the colors are even more prominent sugar leaves are completely purple. Really loving the look of this plant!! She is still another week or so away maybe chop her next weekend but we will see how she looks. Trichomes are mostly all cloudy at this point just want some more ambers to show up and she’ll get harvested. Just giving her and the rest of the girls plain ph’d water for the last couple waterings and that’ll continue until they’re done as well. Can’t wait to harvest her but we have come this far no need to rush them now....
We are in her last days! Big fan leaves are dying off and everything fading beautifully. Deep purples, reds, gold, yellow, green, really nice to look at!! She just frosting and fattening up still. At this point just waiting on some more amber trichs, I think I could take them down today and they’d be great but trying to push them a little further. I guess I’d rather go over than early! Anyway next post will most likely be harvest photos...CAN’T WAIT!
Cut her down last night! I intended to do all 3 but it took FOREVER to trim everything up for just the Blueberry it took me 3-4 hours!! Smelled super strong during the trim really stunk up my garage. Buds were mostly very very dense except some of the lower ones.The plan now is to dry for the next few days then throw buds into jars to cure for another week or two. Will update again with true harvest results onc bud is dry and ready to smoke!
Ps no wet weight for this post just got too late and I was too tired to weigh it by the time I finished trimming this girl...will for sure post dry weights though...
Does anyone have any trimming advice? My neck and back and even hands hurt from trimming everything and I still have one left to go!! Easily taking me 3-4 hours per plant. Any suggestions!? Also do you prefer wet or dry? Pros and cons of each??
Theres no pros or cons to either, other than personal preference, there are no studies to show one is better than the other.
Trimming is a pain, and I know as I've done many big plants at one time needing more than one person to get involved. The best advice I can give is to get set up before hand and comfortable. Set up the TV, Ipad or whatever it is you want to watch or listen to. Next thing is positioning as your back will be the first thing to give out, try to sit up right as its easy to slouch down but don't. Use a pillow to support your lower/middle back. Pull off the big fan leaves before getting into trimming. Then begin trimming for 30 minutes or so, then have a little break, have a drink and something to eat and repeat. Theres really no secrets to it just hard work unless you have a bag trimmer or auto trimmer but i prefer to trim by hand. Hope this helps. We all go through it. Also, I find wet trimming easier as the buds are still swelled up. when dry its more hassle to get into.
Absolutely loved growing this strain! She was the prettiest of all of the girls I had by far with all of the beautiful colors displayed during the flush. She also was the biggest yielder of the bunch coming in at 97 grams!! Which I am more than pleased with as I wasn’t sure what to expect my first time growing. Still curing the buds now and they’re smelling sweeter and feeling firmer everyday. Been in jars almost 1 week so, in another week she will be fully cured and ready for consumption.
This strain was definitely the best performer of the group throughout the whole grow. She popped first, grew largest during veg (was outgrown in stretch by another plant) and flowered first and most abundantly. She also was most visually appealing during flower with the purple, red, yellow colors shown during flush/fade. I wish I would’ve documented my entire grow here but didn’t discover the site until I was a week or two into flower and I just jumped in. I have loved sharing and all the positive vibes and feedback here! Overall I loved growing this strain and growing in general!! I have most definitely found my new hobby and fixation for the foreseeable future. I already have next round starting which I will be journaling on here as well very soon....going to try autoflowers this time!
I lost a bit of size while drying my latest grow. However, the buds were a bit more dense once dried. I'm not sure how curing will affect the buds. This is the first time I'm curing. I'm thinking they will be a little larger due to the increased humidity from the Brevas.
generally speaking i find wet bud and dry bud to compare at 20-25% weight and volume.
that said, my current plants are growing rocks. literal rocks. and i am hopeful they do not shrink that much =P

I agree with your review of Seedsman! I ordered from them and had my seeds confiscated by customs. I contacted Seedsman and they sent me out new seeds in a really, really stealthy package! They are great! Our drug laws, not so much.
Man that is a great harvest! I wonder if Blueberry Auto will grow out the same way?
Your trimming is very professional. Even with my glasses and tons of light, I can't do that well. Sucks getting old.
What was your trimming and curing process? I wet trimmed then and left them on their stalks then hung them for a few days in the dark. Then I dry trimmed and manicured them. After that I put them in mason jars with a 58% Breveda. I've been burping them once a day for the last few weeks. I've smoked a little out of the jars, but I'd still like them to develop a better flavor and aroma. I ended up with a whole container of this awesome kief. It tastes really fresh, and immediately whacks me in the head!
@TreeTent310, Thanks! I didn't expect to win. There were so many great harvests. I actually ended the competition in 5th, but something happened and I was in 3rd then 2nd by Monday morning. I think some people refused the prizes so I was moved up the list.

My back was killing me by the time I finished wet trimming my last grow! After drying, they required a lot less manicuring. My mason jars smelled like fresh grass for the first few days, but now its completely changed. I think your buds look very well trimmed. Nice grow overall. Gratz again! @TreeTent310, I'm growing some seeds that I bought from Seedsman. They are Royal Queen Autos. They didn't hook me up with any free seeds when I ordered. Next time I'll pay attention to the breeder specials. They really came through when my seeds were confiscated by Customs in LA. They reshipped them in an extra discreet package!
Thanks @Quexos, she came out pretty good. Definitely the most visually appealing of all the girls!! Hopefully she smokes/tastes as good as she looks/smells!! The seeds were cheap too I got a pack with these Jack Herrer and White Widow for 3 each for like 15-20 bucks. Highly recommend Seedsman!
Looks very nice! Have you noticed (last photo) that the most dramatic color change in this strain occurred where the fan was blowing/cooling the plant? I wonder if placement or method of lowering the temperature during the last two weeks would provide your crop with the 'blueberry' colors everyone is looking for? I've been thinking of including a bucket of dry ice & have the fan blow across the bucket to both cool the entire tent as well as supply additional CO2. Something to think about?
@R_Owl_Mirror, thanks man! Temps in the tent were fairly consistent high 70’s to low 80’s. I have seen others get some really dramatic color changes when dealing with cooler night temps. Definitely interested to try it out/interested in growing purple/colorful buds not just leaves! If you DO try your dry ice experiment I would be curious to see your results!!
These are some great looking plants! I love the way the buds formed. I really like that round flower formation.

They’re all pretty much done and yes indeed they are looking quite dense hopefully they maintain density through drying/curing we will see in the next week or 2. Today is day 70 of 12/12 I’m thinking chopping no around 75 or so depending how the ladies look.
@Jaindoh, thanks bro! This grow really has gone pretty much by the book. None of the girls have given me too much trouble at all. Honestly the flower phase have been a breeze just watching them fatten up and water/feed every few days and that’s all there is to it! Harvest pics should be posted next week and dry weights a week or so later I’m guessing. Stay tuned!!
Excellent bulk forming! Make sure the temperature and humidity stay within range, that's the best way to the yield and density you want!

@Jaindoh, thanks man the environment in the tent has been pretty consistent only varies about 10 degrees between night and day temps and keeping humidity in the low 50s sometimes even down to 40% really depends how recently I watered them. Hopefully I’m on the right track! I’ll have another even bulkier update next week!! Thanks again!
That will be a wonderful harvest! 2 weeks looks about right. She is fading nicely. The side view photos of those buds are amazing! They look incredibly dense.
I have this too sometimes. I’ve been told that it could be a phosphorus deficiency, but upping the P nutes didn’t seem to change anything. Some also said its normal with certain phenoms. I stopped worrying about it since all else seems fine.

I guess that means the bagseed is going to be flowering as well. That is going to be one crowded tent! It's probably nothing, but your stems are getting awful red. My girl is in the same stage of flowering, and I have a bit of red in my stems. I've been keeping an eye on her to see if any sort of deficiency shows up. So far I haven't seen any issues. Your plants look really, really healthy so there shouldn't be an issue. Just something to do while you are waiting for her to finish.
