April 20, 2021 (Day 106, Flower 57): Happy 4/20 y'all. Pots were light. Watered with 4l per plant with 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Cal-Mag Plus at 6.2 pH. Continuing to flush Unknown 2. Gelato 1 is starting to fade. Beginning to see some definite purple pigment in the leaves. The leaves have gone from a bright green to a bright yellow. April 21, 2021 (Day 107, Flower 58): No report. April 22, 2021 (Day 108, Flower 59): Today was harvest day for Unknown 2. I saw about 10% amber trichomes and 90% milky trichomes and only one or two white pistils left. Looks like the perfect time. It was so hard to chop it down! I felt terrible! Such a beautiful plant - it looks and smells amazing. On to drying and curing! The tent looks lonely. I'm glad I pulled the trigger now instead of waiting, though. April 23, 2021 (Day 109, Flower 60): Drying is going great. My drying room is 60% humidity and 61℉. Gelato 1 and Unknown 1 have about one or two weeks left. April 24, 2021 (Day 110, Flower 61): Pots were light and leaves were droopy. Starting flush on Gelato 1 and Unknown 1 today. Watered with 4l per plant at 6.2 pH. I had to add some garden stakes and ties to Unknown 1 as the buds are really starting to swell and the branches started to fold over onto Gelato 1. As I was manipulating the plant I got my first good look and smell and I am 99% sure it is Zkittlez. Smells super sweet and sour, grew very tall compared to my other plants, and it looks amazing. April 25, 2021 (Day 111, Flower 62): Everything is looking great. The stakes in Unknown 1 are holding. Calyxes on both plants are swelling considerably. Very happy with how this grow is turning out. April 26, 2021 (Day 112, Flower 63): No report.

Grow Questions

In the last 24-hours all three of my plants have started to show signs of blotchy/irregular colored leaves. When I touch the blotches they are crisp to the touch. I have a really cheap pH meter, and I've been feeding at 6.5 pH. Is this a pH issue?

Hoi! 🌱

Looks good to me.😺 I had the same pH experience w/ happyfrog on my GG4 grow - and did same as you are doing to react. I orig watering ~6.6ph in veg and ended up having to bring it down to 6.0-6.3pH through most of flower to keep the pH down. (Runoff was typically 0.4 higher than what went in). Got a little dicey right at the end (was just flushing then so maybe ran out of nutrients in the soil or whatever that last week) and had to increase ph last week. Love the detailed notes you share.πŸ˜ƒ Hey. You think you got enough light for flower? The 600W LED is like 130W actual power draw I think. I grew 2 years ago and plants stretched like crazy (2 plants) when I only had a similar setup.. I've been using the 35-40w(actual) LED watts/sqft formula for flower since then; You think you can keep them packed close enough together or you think a different formula?

GardenSchool
@Plexi1000 - Yeah I am trying my best to keep an eye on the pH now - it definitely took me by surprise. pH is still reading a little high so I might lower even more to a ~5.8 pH solution. Thanks πŸ‘» - I am trying to keep sufficient notes on here so I can refer back to it in future grows if I need to. There's a lot of knowledge and it's fun to experiment with different setups. Thinking about doing some auto flowers next go. As for my light, I actually don't have the right light indicated on this diary - which I didn't know until you pointed this out, I'll change it now. I am using a Bloom Plus LED with ~320W of actual power draw which puts me at ~40W/ftΒ². I haven't had a harvest yet with this light, but I am hoping it does the trick this first run. So far though this light seems really strong and I haven't been getting much stretch out of the plants at all luckily. Not to mention the plants have seemed to grow very fast. Happy growing, man! πŸ‘½

Check out a guy by the name Harley Smith with npk University I learned alot watching all his classes. Watchin you close! 😁 my gelato are doing nice day 9 or something close.

Nice thanks for the suggestion I'll check him out. The learning process with these plants is never-ending! Just when you think you know what you're doing your plants start throwing a tantrum. Makes it a lot of fun to chase down problems, solve them, and then learn from them. Excited to compare our grow experiences. Take it easy. πŸ‘½

How do you have unknown strains? Freebies?
GardenSchool
GardenSchool
Yeah they were freebies! I ordered my seeds right around Christmas and Nirvana sent me a free holiday pack of five unknown feminized seeds. Was quite generous of them. Super stoked to see how they turn out! 😸
