Established a good seedling now, roots looked good and were beginning the circle so I moved her to the final resting place :) micorhizae in the hole for the roots and some water!
She was getting some purple so I gave it one drop of CaMg+ and it appears to be fading.
My goal is to sea of green this tent with one plant through extensive training, so I’m very excited!
The transplant seemed like it was ~72 hours before the growth started to take off :)
So I watered in basically calmag and food for the soil, to moisten the whole pot and get the feeder roots searching and expanding :)
It’s time to start the training! Gonna get some ties and open the canopy and try my first attempt at sea of green net 🤙
Well I was out over the weekend and she did better than I thought she would!
Big growth, getting actual branch nodes :) I took the top off her and pinned the fan leaves down trying to get some good mains going. I took one branch node off the bottom as well, I have high hopes for her :)
I haven’t watered her since I got back yet, but will be tomorrow, gonna do a yucca water flush and then a 1/4 - 1/2 strength dose of a basic veg mix :) just making sure salts don’t get accumulated anywhere!
It was a very big phase of development this week! I flushed it with yucca water because I was noticing some calmag problems still and wanted a reset, and that’s exactly what she wanted!
I topped her and tied her again, spreading things out really nicely and the trunk is coming along great! It’s gonna be a good season for me 🤞
After flush went to a balanced all in one grow to keep her healthy, and I am attempting to clone the tops, and so far they are taking :) one blurry pic of them under the dome lol
All in all, she is responding very well to the training, had one branch crack, but it healed in almost 24 hours and no longer has an issue, she is just thriving!
I now need to get a net made for the canopy to keep “vining” out and fill my tent, I’m anticipating 3-4 more weeks of veg
A smooth week of cleaning up the lowers and keeping up with the training :)
It’s coming together quite nicely, not really experiencing any problems with her.
Have been foliar feeding full up and calmag with one dose of OminA.
Trunk is 2 cm diameter at the dirt so that’s awesome! :)
Big week! Put the net up and really have been defoliating and training to bush her out!
So far she responds amazingly well to the training, growing inches a day curving back towards the light! :)
She’s really up taking water now, 2 gallons a feed with barely any runoff now, and she’s nearly dry by the end of day 2, so she’s thirsty!
Very excited to even the canopy out and switch the lights :) a couple weeks left!
I took 10 cuttings this week as well to try my hand at cloning, so far they are doing alright, at the time of posting they are 5 days cut.
Strain is supposed to be ~65 day flower, so half done!
Lots of work this week on keeping up on training this week, buts it’s going well!
I split a fork when tying her down but the duct tape fix worked great and she didn’t exhibit any stress from it surprisingly :)
Each day I tighten the bindings and then defoliate about every other or 3rd day.
I keep doing 2 feeds to 1 yucca flush. She now uses 3 gallons to get my saturation and 20% runoff, about every 3 days.
When I yucca flush I also foliar feed her to keep things flowing, roughly 1/8-1/4 strength of my food dosage. Foliar feed mix is yucca, kelp, fulvic acid, 1-0-0 Calmag+, and a 14-0-0 ominA. And I fed that every day for 3 days until I watered her again :)
Interestingly, 3 days in a row just barely began to give her N toxicity by causing a slight clawing of the mature fan leaves, but no burn in the tip, and day 4 she was flat out again :) so it was right at the edge of useable nutrients IMO.
The netting is coming along nicely, lots of weaving going on, refilling the center and spreading the mains out to the corners of the tent.
Tried 2 different cloning techniques, one placing them into the peat pellets from Walmart with rooting powder, and the other is a Tupperware container filled with a PH’d weak nutrient solution, and sticking the stalks through the lid into the water.
Both techniques have produced roots, peat took longer but are stronger specimens. Tupperware seemed to shock them less but roots are tiny little nodules.
Thanks for stopping by and checking things out :)
This week I pushed the net down, raised the light, and continued to tie down, weave and defoliate promoting a nice bonsai :)
She is loving my feed/feed/flush. It’s about every 3-4 days with 3 gallons to achieve runoff.
She has all her preflower sex sites and is a nice skunky aroma coming through, I unfortunately have to hold off the light flip for a little longer, but I’m very very excited 😜
Really the usuals, clean her up and tie her down :) I did add a WiFi controlled watering system for when I go out of town tho, so that was nice!
She is quite the shrub 15” tall and 40” wide >.< the trunk is approaching 1.75” diameter :)
Unfortunately this week and nexts will be limited, I’m out of town but the automatic watering system will be used and I should 🤞 come back to a tall shrub :) will be cleaning it up and changing the light schedule on her about a week after I get home :)
Got back from being away 10 days and she did very well :) just defoliated and will be letting her bounce back and then will be flipping the switch for flower :) all in all, she’s looking like the most resilient and robust plant I’ve grown!
The time has arrived! I flipped the light schedule 4/1 to 14/10 and on the 4th day significant pistil development
I will not be going 12/12 because she is flowering at 14/10. I have had plants flower with 15/9 as well if you were curious :)
Flushed the soil with yucca and humic acid, and switched the nutrients over to Bloom stage and introduced bloom microbes for the soil.
I cleaned a few of the “bigger” branches that were not going to be producers of much and am daily struggling to keep up with the inner growth lol
Shes beginning to develop her aroma and it’s starting out as a very dank skunk smell :)
Always fun to watch the sites develop and watch the stretch begin :)
I did a very heavy defoliation throughout her first week to promote those upper buds really getting a chance and I’m hoping for good uniformity :)
The light seemed like it was making her a little light sick so I had to back it up quite a bit more as well, nothing too crazy tho :)
I really had to back my light off as far as I could, you can see yellowing in the center and her leaves there feel slightly tougher than the perimeter leaves. Backing it off helped her tremendously :)
I flushed it and came back with a light feed, and then 3 days later 3 gallons of a regular feed and she now is going to need 4 gallons because her uptake has increased.
She’s developing trichomes pretty nicely now and is starting to get an aroma, very skunky and possibly a sweetness hidden in there :)
I was going to do a week 3 defoliation, but I am thinking I’m going to let her ride this out the rest of the way, just what my gut is telling me 😂
This week I will be removing a half hour off the light schedule each week to simulate seasonal changes :) currently am at 15/9
Check out my TikTok @kannabizexperience 🤙
The light when switched into flower was too much and you can see a perfect square of light burn in the center :( as well as that it exacerbated a calmag problem caused by me giving too much potassium *my opinion* so I flushed it twice this week with 5 gallons of yucca water each time, and it stopped the deficiency from spreading it appears.
I was going to perform a week 3 defoliation, but because of the problems I decided to keep all foliage so she can keep up on photosynthesis and in case anything else goes awry, it can attack those mature leaves
All in all she is plumping up and I think the stretch is done for this girl, she’s starting to get gum balls going lol
You can clearly see the problems I’ve been working on lol but I am in the clear in my opinion 😅
The light I have was too strong a couple weeks backs and you can see the square burnt right into the center :( and as well it created a nutritional problem in that center which was changing my soil PH as well!
So I flushed her for a week and got that back and just began refeeding her, so there is some necrosis from that as well :(
All in all she is snapped back out of it, and the center is pushing out greener growth and she is stacking and putting on weight, as well as developing some nice trichome forests
The center nugs are different than the perimeter nugs. They are more petite, not as stacked but are denser than the perimeter, chunky gum balls. The perimeter is stacking a lot more but not as dense. So it’ll be interesting to see if it shows up like I have two different types of buds
It seems as tho I’m past the light stress and deficiency and she now is putting on some weight, buds are plumping up and super frosty :)
A nice citrus skunk aroma :)
She’s mad at me :( my light has caused some harm on this grow but things should work out :)
The perimeter is a nice lush green, the interior is calmag deficient hard! Next time I need a taller tent, was getting light burn at 40” away!
She’s got a few weeks left tho :)
She still has a lot of white hairs popping and some new growth but she is almost there, I’m in my final 21 days I would say, gonna flush at the end of the week :)
These are her last moments
I forgot to mention in last weeks comments that I quit feeding her and flushed it with 55 gallons of phd water and just watered out to finish.
All in all it could be better due to the problems with the light in the center but the buds really got dense and formed very nicely, I learned a lot more again on this run
It is a nice strain that’s not really floating out and about, seemed cal mag needy in the beginning but was easy to get managed :)
Next time I believe I will be cutting down the veg time because it didn’t seem to really increase my yield compared to my last grow, albeit different strains.
I will for sure run this girl again tho and would recommend her :)
Strain data said 55-65 on flowering and I ended up going 71 days of flower
