Very Strong Seed. Tail emerged within 24 hours. Popped in Coco and seedling emerged another 24 hours later. Day 4 In hindsight, I wish I had buffered the coco with Calmagic prior. I forgot how much CoCo is need of extra calcium. Temp 75 degrees. Humidity 55% Though watered to dry, somehow, my seedlings showed signs of being overwatered, especially the banana which is currently the biggest. Will report back after next fertigation Day 6 Refrained from watering for two days. Let cups become almost bone dry. Leaves seem less swollen and perked up more. The stems are less red and are showing signs of green. Hopefully this next feeding provides the calcium this coco is lacking 🤔🤔🤔 2nd feeding - 509 PPM 1082 EC 71deg PPM EC Temp (Drainage Readings) Banana 505 1072 75

Banana and Trainwreck taking off well which is very surprising considering those two accidentally fell over when planting germinated seed. Took me so long to find the seed among all the coco and perlite all over the ground. The G13 and Girl Scout Cookie were planted perfectly yet are having quite the start. In theory, maybe the cups thst spilled were more aerated and buffered as the others just had just water poured on top? Not sure. Banana has been strong since Day One. Other then the stem still not showing green, pretty decent start. Day 10 Update: Stem is finally showing healthy light green stem from base upwards 🙌 Week 2 Fertigation #1 feeding - PPM 568, EC 1140, 68.0 deg, PH 6.10 #2 feeding - PPM 602, EC 1280, 69.7 deg, PH 6.02 #3 feeding - PPM 550, EC 1100p, 73.7 deg, PH 6.02 PPM EC Temp PH (Drainage Readings) Banana #1: PPM 522, EC 1110, 71.9 deg, PH 5.82 #2: PPM 550, EC 1170, 70.3 deg, PH 5.91 #3: PPM 561, EC 1086, 73.0 deg, PH 5.96

Growth starting to slow down. Possible overwatering. Still looking luscious and green. Will dial back a bit of runoff and skip a feeding.

GREEN AS CAN BE!!! I wish I could flip right now, but I'll be away by the time they'd be ready for harvest. So I'll have to wait a couple more weeks and pray there's enough room. They are growing so fast! Banana is looking super healthy as the new growth is now large and luscious green. Thanks for tuning in.

Can you give me an idea of your timeline for harvest? I'm facing a similar dilemma of running up against a deadline the 4th week of June. My seeds say 6-7 weeks flower time, but I'm guessing they'll need more like 8-9-10. That only gives me about 2 weeks of veg left and I've only now been able to top and LST after stressing my plants too much early veg. So what's your thought process on your situation? By waiting to flip, does that mean you're going to leave them still growing but with no waterings while you're away, then chop as soon as you're back? Or chop right before you leave and let them hang while you're gone?

@kansasscott725, That's what I keep hearing, the trichs will let you know. Of course I'm sure that's a bit of a judgement call as well. The podcasts I've been pouring through (Dude Grows Cast, GrowCast, and Rasta Jeff) have all mentioned at one point or another that they consider flower starting at the day you make the 12/12 flip. I've also heard them say to let the flower go an extra week or two longer than the seed co says or that you even want to. But like you said, I would have a hard time going against what the trichs are telling me. They are piling up though, I love how the trainwreck looks too. I've also heard on the podcasts that Girl Scout Cookies are known for being a difficult plant to grow. Hopefully your timeline will afford letting you go a little longer than anticipated. So many factors at play, and like you say, so much that can fuck you up after you already put in the work.

@Paulbearer1891, You are in a pickle. You're ready to switch to flower now, they'll keep growing for 3 more weeks and nearly double in height. You can continue to LST and you'll be able to prune during week 3 of Flower if they get too bushy which they will. That would give you an end of May/ Early June harvest time allowing you to be away during the first week of drying which I hope you have someone coming to check on the humidity and temperature of your dry room while you're Way because you can do everything right, yet if you fuck that up, all the hard work prior is pointless IMO. I'm stuck right now. Supposed to be harvesting the week of April 20 which will be week 8, but they're just not looking as swollen as other grows I see on here. Could be because I started my week 1 of flower the moment I flipped and not the moment the pistila starting showing up so maybe I'm actually a week or 2 behind and if that's the case I started feeding it Big XL too early and stopped the veg and Big Bud nutes too early. My pistils were puffy large and white to start, now they're starting to downsize and curl in, but these fuckers don't start growing up and down the stalk and making gigantic too colas, I'm going to be pissed lol. Currently trying to get my EC down as the G13 strain isn't handling it well. If they start getting bigger and fuller this week then I'm going to assume I'm a week early from my original target and will most likely harvest in the 9-11 flower weeks, not 8. If they don't fill out, we'll, whenever the trichomes tell me they're ready, I'll be chopping

Is it too early to ask, How do you like the air pots?
kansasscott725
kansasscott725commented4 years ago
@@@Waylate, Loving them! The best part is going to be end of harvest and/or if I had started in a smaller airpot for transplant. I say this because what they fail to mention to you is that these airpots come delivered in flat sheets. You then apply the circular base and wrap the sheet around it creating your cylinder. The two blue tabs you see are just plastic screws that anchor the pot, keeping it cylindrical and sturdy. Therefore, when it comes time to transplant or harvest, you just unscrew, and unravel the sheet. No shaking or filthy mess; throw the pot in the dishwasher, bada bing. The other cool part is you won't need risers as the base actually sits up about 3 inches from the bottom. You just can't see iflt because it's inside, but if you zoom in close enough, you'll notice the bottom two rows of holes have no medium coming out merely because it's all air underneath. I moved the back left plant up on a riser just to match the height of the plants. Breathe well, drain well, and they look bad ass
