I'd started this tent in my garage in October, the temps were swinging high 80's to the 40's-outside at night. I had a blower for an air intake and little did I know how cold it was getting my soil.
Such slow growth but when you're defoliating, soil is getting to cold, most likely under watering, heavy on the nutes and I think I moved the light in closer. Realistically is was two cups every couple days.
The girls were ready to flip a couple few weeks before hand. They were throwing pre flowers even before the 12/12 I think these may have been the second week I can't be to sure.
Pretty exciting, and they're starting to smell nice! Had to get a dehumidifier exhaust just couldn't handle it. Gave them a good flush out this week and only put 250 ppm in it.
They just won't fatten up. I doubled down on light few weeks back may have just been to much for them. Flushed them out again this week. Basically took all week to dry out. They stopped drinking after the last flush.
Super bummed they didn't fatten up, BUT I believe I know what factors played a role. Should have spotted the potassium deficiency, the nitrogen toxicity and the light stress. This next group of ladies will fatten up fine.... I hope 😄 so I flushed them again for the final time. Stay tuned for the newbs harvest and weigh in!
Wow, so it's a sad feeling cutting down your first ladies. We've had a long rocky road 😄 feels good to have a grow under my belt and even more importantly the knowledge that has come with it. I've learned many things not to do next time and a few things that worked quite well. So they smell of sweet citrus with a side of earthy. They are unbelievably dense and heavy with resin. For the one Apollo haze she's pretty dense herself and for the term profile, I've never smelt anything like it she is very strong pungent dank! I don't smell any sweet, citrus, pine, earth, maybe a hint of skunk. For the wet weight I left them on the plant so a rough guess I'm going to deduct 30 grams a plant? If that seems right or wrong I'd like to know your take either way in the comments.
As my first grow it was rough should have yielded more. Its easier said than done to leave your plants alone! If you think they need more water they don't! Think the light needs to be closer and your nodes are an inch apart it doesn't😄 I cant wait to flip my sour jack they are overall much healthier and happier plants with less water and nutrients. And of course more leaves. Updates in 7-10 days 😁 update: 6.3 ounces jarred, and they are all at 65% what a relief! What a great feeling and I'm only going to get better.
Wow so not sure wth happened but I just weighed it all out I've got 188 from the Dutch @ 62% and 40 from the Apollo at 62% as well! I feel much better about that. 😄
