Hello people! In the previous diary you can read about a handmade box and a successful experience of growing auto hybrids Nothern Express by Fast Buds. If you are interested, check this out. I decided to grow something more cheerful, I mean the high 😉 Here is what I decided to order: Speed Devil#2 - indica/sativa/ruderalis. I ordered it because of the positive feedbacks about Sween Seeds and this sort, and I haven't seen reports on it. Here are the features of the auto hybrid: the type – auto flowering hybrid, harvest at home is about 400-500g/m2, harvest in the open air is about 20-60g/a plant. The blossoming at home is about 5 weeks, the harvest (in many cases) will be after 2 month from sprouting, the height 70-80cm. So, the seedbank tells about pretty big size of its plants, and I like it 😊 let’s see, how they behave in the process of growing. I won’t describe the box in details, I’ve done it in the previous report. Here are the highlights: it was made by hand from fiberboard with guideways for moving plants up and down with additional shelves and fixtures, since the lamp is fixed. I’ve made 3 levels of guides that allow keeping plants at any stage of their growth at about 20-25 cm from the lamp. The idea was great, and that was proved by the previous experience👍. The box ventilation is quite simple: sodium lamps are situated in the cool tube, which is ventilated through with two vents, and one more is working on air injection and two blowing passive vents are in the ceiling. I don’t care about the smell, as the box will be in the detached well ventilated room, and I don’t have any occasional guests at home; my neighbours always cook so stinky food, that I could grow a whole plantation and nobody would smell it because of the constant fish and cabbage odor 😁 The lightning is the same: sodium lamps 250 Philips Son-T 28000lm + 3 ESL 6400 32W, maybe I’ll add something else if it’s necessary, I’ll write about it definitely. I’ll use the soil that has been already tested by my brother and me – Morris Green Universal with the supplement of vermiculite and perlite for protection of roots from any infection. I’ll use typical fertilizers: Uniflor Micro, Etisso Grow & Bloom, potassium monophosphate and calcium ammonium nitrate + sulphate for extra fertilizing, potassium HUMATE Energen and liquid vermicompost. The seeds are already watered in cotton disks. I’ll plant them straight into the pots, because we grow autos and don't need to replant them. The lightning is constantly 18/6, now there are 3 ESL 32W. Forgot it: I haven’t bought a PH-tester yet, but in 2-3 weeks I’ll have it and become able to feed plants with chemicals thoroughly 😄 So, that’s all for now, if you have any questions – just ask, I’ll surely answer you. Wish me luck in my full-time job 😁

Hello, growdiaries! I’m sorry for periodical absence at growdiaries and reality, as my life now is quite tough: I work at night and study at the daytime, attending classes on crazy mathematical analysis 🙏, so I feel like zombie and sometimes have no access to the internet. Here are the events of this week: the plants were replanted into the pots with soil, the depth is about 3-4cm. The soil was mixed with perlite and vermiculite, and I added a solution of potassium humate by Energen. The lightning scheme is the same: 18/6. I water them with pure water, as the soil gets dry. One of the Devils has trouble: for unknown reason the seed couldn’t germinate and open up in the soil. The half of the root died off, and the lobes were yellow. I tried to reanimate it, but in vain. If it recovers, it will be a miracle. Now it’s sticking out of the soil within an inch of death. Hm… such a slip-up is the first time! 😱 Maybe the problem is in the seed.

A short report. The process is going allright. The plants began slowly growing, a little devil has almost caught up with the big one. The battery of my camera is low 😕, so I’ve made only one photo (but the plants are almost equal). I water them with a light solution of liquid vermicompost, the temperature is about 25-27 degrees.

Hello everyone!😊 The plants keep growing faster, during the previous week they have grown higher on a few cm higher, so one could notice it with the naked eye 😅 Today I’ve decided, that I should add sodium lamps to the other ESLs, and I think the plants have to grow quicker. The distance from the lamp is about 25 cm. I still use only pure water, but sometimer I water them with a light solution (3-4 times lighter than it’s recommended in the instruction) of liquid vermicompost in which I added 0,5ml of Uniflor Micro per 1l. I’ll feed them with chemicals not earlier than in the end of the next week – they are still too small. Dude, I’ve understood the reason of a slight ripple effect on the photos of all growers 😁 The camera cannot bear such a strong light, so sorry for bad pics 😶 By the way, there is a black sheep in every flock. One of the devils turned out to be a little mutant – instead of a normal trefoil it has one central leaf and a side crooked one, the rest leaves are ok.

Hello everyone! I do not have time to write much. Over the week the plants have changed their sizes and showed sexes – all of them are females. They are almost near the sodium lamp, in 8 cm from it, the lightning scheme is the same. Today I’ve fed them with a chemical for vega for the first time – Uniflor Micro, red and green Etisso + liquid verticompost.

Aloha, friends!😊 Here are the news: the plants became to blossom and grew a few cm up and broadwise, but the cones are most important. 😁 There are two plants of different size. One bush is normal, and the second looks weird, but it has a thick central cola and strong side branches. I also should say that both plants have great stooling. Thanks to sodium lamps and cold light for vega. You can see their present state on the photos: I tried to make as many as possible, and used different views. I don’t water them too much, about one time in 2 or 3 days, using 0,5-0,7l, alternating Etisso + Micro for the blossom, a solution of liquid vermicompost and pure water. I decided to change the lightning – now it’s more powerful and warm: 250W of sodium lamps, 55W and 30W ESL – four of them in total, and the temperature raised to 25-29 degrees.

Hello! The plant makes me happy every day. Two bushes are very diverse. One of them is big and branchy with many side cones, and the other is little and stocky (it's a thick 20cm cone with a few side cones). Such quality is a typical for auto flower. The little Speed Devil is ill – there are many red sprots, leaves are dying, but the cones keep growing. Maybe it’s the lack of something (I thought about potassium and gave it to the plant, but the illness keeps progressing). However, it can be the most wide spread illness on the earth – senior age. It’s time to smoke, men 😁 The big Speed Devil blew me off with a few immature and unopened eggs. I thought they were the cones – the central cola hasn’t grown together at all. However, judging by the previous experience, these eggs didn’t affect the quality, but did affect the quantity. Females are females, nature will always find a way, a quote from the popular film 😎

Hello, growdiaries! A quick midline report. It appears that the plants will be cut off in different time.A little Speed Devil will be cut in a week, and the bigger – on 10-14th of February, because its central cola's levels have just grown together, and it has gotten thicker. 😊 Sodium lamps help the process. I decided to pour with some gibberellin acid for further growth. The bushes came into the stage of washing and watering before the harvest. There is no many photos, the best pics will be in the end.

Hello, people! The little Speed Devil is just… I don’t know)) It looks like a stick ice-cream with a very short stick – a very big ice-cream… 😁 It is all in a resin, but the brown fuzz is not enough, the cone ceased growing, the biggest part of leaves has died. In a few days the little Speed Devil will be cut off 😋 The big Speed Devil grows actively, I think it will grow by one third, I’ll give it 10 days. It will be alone in the box at that moment and will have a chance to enjoy the light. I’ve almost stopped to water it with chemicals – left only liquid vermicompost, and the last 3 times used only pure water.

Hi! Brief news. As I planned, I've cut off the bush and tried it already 😋 It’s cool 😊 You’ll see the details in the final report at the end of this week. There is only one Speed Devil in the box, getting sunburn under the sodium lamp in 5 cm from the cool tube – it’s getting ready, I give it only pure water. As you could notice, there are two little bushes at the backfront – these are young and quickly growing Orange Buds from DP, but it’s another story… 😉 In fact I’ve planted them in the old box about a month ago (with ESLs). Although they won’t be main heroes of the next report, I hope I’ll be able to show you an orange cone. So, it’s a long story, I’ll tell you everything in the next report. 😊
