Flipped to flower on day 23. Nordle at the 6th node and Blueberry at the 5th. They both seem very healthy after transplanting to the super soil. Showed no signs of shock.
lots of stretching this week. they have almost tripled in size since flipping to 12/12. I switched my light out for a SF1000 (100w Board) under 100% power at the beginning of the week. Pistils began showing toward the end of the week. I performed a little leaf tucking toward the end of the week to try and get the lower branches exposed to more light.
Wasn't able to tend to the garden as much as I'd like to this week. I decided to do a small amount of LST as both plants started getting a little too close to the light.
The CBD Nordle struggled with pH last week. I took a soil pH and both plants averaged ~7.4. I haven't seen any issues with the Blueberry so far but used nutrients high in sulfur in order to bring the pH down as well as adding phosphoric acid to the nutrient solution to get it to a pH of 5.5. I have also been removing nodes on the bottom half of the plant as they get large enough.
I decided that my water filter wasn't doing the job in removing the chloramine and fluoride found in my tap water. I switched to pH'd RO water at the beginning of week 4 and also started a Bloom base nutrient. Steady growth this week with increasing smell and resin production.
Steady growth this week. Still lots of white pistils forming on these two. Nordle was showing some overfeeding signs toward the end of the week so I am backing off of adding nutrients.
Still steadily stacking flowers. Toward the end of the week I started seeing some cloudy trichomes and began feeding them plain RO water. The Nordle seems to be slightly ahead of the blueberry in terms of maturation.
Just watered them with regular RO water this week. They are starting to swell and have all cloudy trichomes. Thinking another week or two until I chop them.
They're starting to get pretty close. Both of them are continuing to swell and they're only showing a few amber trichomes. I'm still giving them both RO water only at this point and am predicting the chop at the end of week 10 or early week 11.
Man, I love this weed! It really checks all the boxes for me. Looks, aroma, taste, and effect are all top quality. I honestly had a hard time believing she would turn out this good being a 1:1. Buds have been curing for about 2.5 months with Boveda 62 packs in amber jars. They smell very unique like grapes, sesame, garlic, mint, pine, and fuel. Tastes pretty hashy and follows the smell well. Super smooth on the throat when burned but I'm mostly vaping this stuff. Seems to kinda mimic your energy level when smoked. I've had at at both high energy events and later in the evening and it pairs well with everything.
I was pretty excited to get this freebie as Blueberry was one of my favorites when I first started getting quality weed years ago. The bud isn't bad by any means but its not as exciting as some of strains bred today. The buds are big and dense and covered in orange hairs. I honestly had a hard time getting pictures that did this one justice. She smells like mango, earth, mint, and blueberry. The taste is spicy, grassy, and piney. This one is real mellow with a strong body element and a great evening smoke to wind down with. The grow went really well with her, she had no issues. during day 4 of drying I noticed some bud rot on the main cola and removed it from the dry space while the rest of the plant continued to dry. No mold on any of the salvaged buds 2.5 months into cure.
Let there be life. Off to an amazing start. Keep up the wonderful progress. I hope for a strong happy and healthy grow. Good luck stay safe happy growing cheers!!!!
