Took about 3 days for them to fully pop. Did the whole 50/50 black gold organic/super soil on the bottom half. Fully saturated both fabric pots prior to place seeds. Apperently that's a bad move but lesson learned. Went from excitement to terror from extreme stretching day 1. Started with just the SF1000 following the instructions. Played around with several distance/power ratings over the first 1-6 days. Same problem. Also found out how janky the little hydrometer/temp things are. Ordered a V1000, RH inkbird and accurate Temp/RH sensors.
Well on day six leading into day 7 I took down the braces because they seemed sturdy and they were too short for their current height. Just added the VS1000. Started them both at 100% 24 inches away assuming it would be way too much. Came back to a fallen lady and even more stretched plant to kick off a full week. Put braces back up, watering with dechlorinated/oxygenated water ph to 6.5. Called a much more experienced friend I should have asked for help with originally. He believes they weren't getting enough blue light, also recommended SLF-100, Primordial Solutions Sea Green and Rootamentary. Was able to get the slf-100 asap. The rest will have to wait until week 2. Absolute amazing gains with the slf-100. Don't ask me how it works. It just does. At this point I have the light down to 18" cranked. Vertical growth slowed down at that point. Also got the inkbird for rh and decent temp/rh sensors. Watering just enough to wet the tops every other day and a full watering till run off with the slf-100. Temps and RH dialed decent now. 75-77ish during the day, pegged at 65 at night.
Days 14 and 15 looking much better. Since last week we've added supplemental T5 HO side lighting and added Sea Green with another helping of SLF100. Still doing light watering every other day then a full water till draining with the nutes every Saturday. Finally stopped the stretching. Implemented Primordial Solutions Rootamentary on day 17. Probably skip that the next feeding. Then add it back in the feeding after next.. No other changes. Also started beating up on the fallen last. Figured if she's handled all the beatings so far. Might as well push the limits. Switched to 24 hours on the 25th.
Started week 3 today. Things don't seem to be going as well. The small plant im not too concerned about. It's always had some problems and I've been beating up on that and trying some early defoliation.
The larger one has always looked healthy and now it got really dark green, droopy, and some clawing. Went 4 days without watering, no changes, gave it a big flush PH'd to 6.5. No changes. Lifted the light a hair and switched to 20/4. No changes.
Any input welcome. A few people have told me it looks fine but it seems like something I'd wrong.
Was ready to celebrate going into flower the curling and yellow at the top just gets worse when I thought it was better. Very limited watering. Did two heavy flushes thinking it was N toxicity. Got a lux meter to verify light intensity. Now the fallen lady is starting to show signs of it as well. Normally PH water to 6.5. Flushing it with 6.0 run off was 6.6. Going to scale it back to just water this week. See how it goes. Added in NFTG foliar spray this week as well.
Still causing along here. Just some light defoliation. Been alternating between compost tea one week and top dress the next. Only the smaller plant is got the calmag this week. Will top dress on Thursday and switch to just water until it's over.
No real changes this week in terms of feeding. The smaller one has some bad rust spots on its leaves now. Its not mold so I assumed it was calcium def but I been pumping it with calmag and no changes. That plant has always been problematic so I may just give it water until it's time to harvest the healthy plant.
Just feeding water for the rest of the grow. The small one has been problematic since day one getting the same treatment the other plant thrived on. Seems to be fading rapidly even with nutes, soil run off 6.7 PH with 6.5 in so that's good. Could never really pin point the issues.
