Decided I'd take 1 of my 5 banana dads and put it directly into the soil. 12/12 from seed. I premixed the soil with 15% pre-used soil, 75% Promix HP and 15% perlite(comes with the Promix). Just water til ~ week 3. From then it's going to be the Cali Green formula of Liquid Seaweed, Molasses, and occasional doses of either Urb or Recharge. Let's hope she turns out stellar! Cheers fellow growers :) 🙌

And we're off! Got excited when I peeked in the tent last night and saw all the banana dad's above the soil! And this photo variant is just chugging ahead of the autos. Loving the loose waviness of the young cotyledons. I can tell she'll be up for some vigorous growth. No nutes until end of week 2. Plain, bottled water til then.

Loving their day-to-day development. No nutes still, I'll likely start nutes by the end of the week, however. Cheers all! Not much to say on this one, other than that the banana dad's now all have the tent all to themselves. Just harvested the final Lemon Berry girl. Full speed ahead!

Alright, so I applied some mykos on all of the BanDads, photos and autos alike. Just poured some at the base of each plant and gently rustled the soil to get it mixed in at root level. Then gave them all a nice blast of nutes for the first time. I'll be upping the dosage with the Liquid Seaweed next week. Loving how sturdy they all are already! I can tell this is going to be a lovely run for sure. You may have noticed I also added a Dos-si-dos and ChemP Auto into the tent as well. Just wanted to get them both started before sending em outside for spring 😊 Cheers all and happy growing 🎆😊

Alright, let's have a smooth transition period. To facilitate this, I've tied her down to the side of the pot. On top of this, I removed one of the main feeder leaves blocking the lower nodes. She should bush up pretty well as we transition into flower. A few notes I wanted to include; She's grown 5 cm since the last update, no nutrient toxicities/deficiencies at all, and the marketing claims by XSD regarding it's stimulative root capacity - Appear to be more than just claims. This stuff is seriously bringing my plants AWESOME vigour. Well guys, this is where the grow really starts to get fun. I'm going to try and update this diary every day or at least every other day. The day-to-day progression is becoming much more impressive and therefore, more fun for me to document.

Stellar progress as she begins the stretch/transition into flower! This will be the maximum amount of nutrients I intend to use on her for the rest of the grow. The rhizosphere should be developing richly by this point so I only want to supplement it and not overdo things. Can't think of a single problem I've had with an Ethos strain yet! I even got a Mr. Hanky regular seed pack that is performing great as well. I never mentioned it in before diaries, but I also have some Vineyard by Ethos - I plan on making another grow diary to document her progress with. Both will likely pop up in the tent sometime in the middle of flower. Cheers everyone, always happy to update the weekly progress with this girl. 🙌😁

Alright! So she's officially been back on track for quite a while now. She seems to have actually started bud development! So we can officially consider this week 1 of flower. Haven't defoliated her quite yet, but I will later today. So far I've just been training her by bending and supercropping here and there. I've been feeding her nutes twice a week by this point, with a water in between. Not quite at the 1/4gal. per day point. I sense that'll be somewhere between weeks 2, and 3 of flower. She's up to 9-fingered leaves which means, everything's going smooooth as can be. Cheers, and bless you and your garden! 🙌

Hello beautiful GD community! I had a question regarding 'milking' my yield. I've got a decent spread going on all of my girls. However, I'm a little worried about the empty space in the tent. Any recommended training techniques to increase yield? Not too invasive; they're autos.

Hey Growmie, Since these are autos I would just continue with the LST this technique will be the best for autos, anything else will cause stress. As they grow and time passes and you continue LST they will spread out more and fill the space in the tent better. Hopefully, this was helpful, and remember ..." Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".

Alright, so she had a rather traumatic week. The pics won't show it, but here's what happened. I was supercropping her at the beginning of last week and all but snapped one of her lower branches, off. I taped it up and prayed... full recovery as of this post! The branch was wilting all week and all of a sudden the break point knuckled up and she began carrying on with bud development. She's been drinking nutes like a fuckin' fish. I've been watching the tips for burn, but it seems to be my nutrient regiment is right on the money. No burnt tips, just happy plant. Cheers all! 🍻 5-6 weeks until the chop! Ya gotta give Ethos a chance. Stellar run, EVERY time.

This update was made Day 58 from seed. I just now realized I've had my day count offset by about 2-3 days. No biggie, at least it's been rectified. Anyways, onto the update. Beautiful deep purple tones have begun peeking throughout the plant. Similar to my lemon berry but with more of a magenta hue. Feedings have been rather frequent. 2-3 nute feedings last week. With XSD. For the rest of the grow, XSD will be omitted. Just molasses and Liquid Seaweed from here on out. Absolutely love the development of this photo period variety. I'll probably give this strain a rest for the next journal, however. Still need to spread my wings with Ethos' catalogue.

Awesome stuff! She smells unreal already. Very berry-like, but it's a smooth fruity scent like banana. That Grand daddy is definitely shining through with this baby girl👌 This is the home stretch! Excited, we're about a month away from harvest. Funnily enough, harvest week should also be my birthday week. Happy birthday to me 🤣 Hit her with a a light defoliation during week 3 flower and now I'm hands off til harvest. Cheers fellow growers, I wish you all the dankest 🙌

Definitely the best smelling stuff I've grown to date. The sweet fruity notes absolutely light up the tent every time I open it. And she's been a great candidate to learn my new phone's camera with. 8 week strain, so less than a month away! Definitely coming down before the others, that's for sure!

This one is doing exactly how I want, she smells amazing and her buds are fattening up perfectly. At this point she's being fed molasses and Liquid Seaweed only. With only two weeks to go, I plan on adding overdrive to the nutrient schedule as well. Cheers everyone, I've had my ups and downs with this banana daddy run in general. But overall, it's still been a good time! Hope you ALL harvest some dankness, fellow growers! 🙏🙌

Wooow! First off this stuff is incredibly smooth, just hit the bowl you see packed in the post. It's definitely got a far more fruity/pungent aroma than the autoflower version, but both smell similar. Can't wait for a proper cure on both! But this one takes the cake quality-wise.

Fun time with this gal overall! Definitely going to go for a proper run of BanDad, not 12/12 from seed - next. Didn't yield much individually, but between all 4 plants it added up to be a decent bit. Already got another BanDad in my veg tent at about week 5!

The best thing you can do to increase yield is by changing your light schedule from 12/12 to 18+. Autos are already shorter, faster plants than photos, and don’t benefit from a 12/12 schedule. In fact most people run autos 24/7 because that’s kind of the whole point, they don’t need 12/12 to flower. That’s the reason you have a crappy yield.

@OzarkGrow, it's turned out fine. I'm way too ahead in the cycle to change it so abruptly with photoperiods in the mix. This is my 12/12 flowering tent. I just wanted to start my outdoor garden while I did a little run to tide me over. I was just curious if anyone knew of any organic bud builders or things like that to incorporate at the last bit to give her some extra umf. But I got it figured out by now. Thanks anyways.
