First week down. It is growing. That's all I have been worrying about. Planted in my coco and I've been watering quite generously. With a range of between 5.6 and 6.0 ph. going to start to low stress train them early and just see what I can achieve.
Plain sailing really just watering and moving around the nugget holding heads to where I think i can get maximum light. plenty of leaf poking trying to keep it all clear for more heads to pop up
Just been trying to keep the heads clear just by positioning the leaves where I think they would be best suited. I'm aiming for a full level set of heads. Lst everyday only minor and I've trimmed the odd bit off also. Ive cut and fold over the plant pot cause I don't know why I didn't think about this before then I can get a proper tie down on all the corners.
They sometimes feel like they r getting out of hand so i try to remove leaves every now and again but they r looking really good in my opinion. I've been training spreading and trying to get as much light to the heads as possible and I can say I probably could have filled the cupboard with the one plant it's looking well at least I think. I'm gonna let them ride out now for a week and I'll think about a trim a week before I go into flowering. also ive noticed the swelling resin sacks there is a few of them around the plant which I always love to smoke but I didn't expect them to swell so early. from what i believe these r what contain the cannaboids which create the buds and thc. bit gutted they only have 2 hairs on them and not 3 or more. anyone know anything about this any information would be welcomed.
I got a little carried away with the scissors which was fun until afterwards when I had realised what I had done. Much better to trim with a pair of scissors instead of just pulling the leaves off, for me at least I dont know about the plant. my plant is pretty healthy and was absolutely covered so I thought id try to trim to keep the heads clear. Just been feeling the weight of the pot every day and its so light I one night gave it an extra 500ml of water and it stood up straight so Im thinking ill continue this every few days also. Its the 4th day since I defoliated and I think its looking well. I was planning to flower next tuesday but for now Ill have to wait and see how it looks. I dont want to flower it if there is not enough nodes stacked together.
Been a bit of a naughty week really its not actually been a week but Oh my it felt like it. So after i went abit daft on the defoliation things was okay. we got growth. I noticed that the plant had started to get a purple stem and thought this was a good thing even tho common sense told me lemon haze shouldnt be purple, though it is a clone so things can happen. I stupidly changed the light cycle to a 12 on 12 off. The branches went all woody and dry feeling which then made me start to worry. the leaves faded and started to go yellow so research time it is. Phosphorus was my initial thought or nitrogen. But there shouldn't really be any as ive used enough feed for a heavy feeding plant. the plant was to put the flowering feed in mid week which I thought might help the situation because its lacking something. I put in quite abit of biobloom, im planning for a 9 to 10 week flowering cycle so I used roughly 50g which I will top up with some more in 3 weeks time. watered and checked the PH which was at 6.2 and for coco i believe that to be quite good. the next day I got a nice clear sign to the real problem. a brown spot on the leaf. CALCIUM! u little bugger. I thought my water here where I live was hard but how wrong was I? might have made quite the error and affected the whole grow cupboard with this stupid beginners mistake. Straight away I flushed with calcium water at 240PPM and over the past 3 days if seen a rise. things r improving thank goodness. lets hope for a nice easy ride out for the rest now.
Ive flushed with about 4 or 5 litres of bio enhancer one the pot had dried out fully and that had been the course of the week really. Once it had dried out again I again defoliated the plant and removed a couple of smaller branches that wasnt going to make up to much. Ive been learning just watching them growing day by day and the light intensity is so important to the node sights and definitely a level canopy is going to make you plenty. Ive been checking the pistils on the branch ends and been removing the bud sites that I think were to spread apart or not enough pistils bunching together. My thought was that if there is less to develop then the ones that will hopefully be good will be extra good. I topped it also when I defoliated and removed sites. fed it with 3 litres of water with calcium added at 200 ppm and a PH of 6.13 will see how it goes. I cant wait to see buds. the plant is 40cm wide by 49cm and the height is 32cm.
nice steady week no problems encountered. Buds r developing nicely and it smells abit like burgers are something filthy like that haha. cant wait to get a whiff of the citrusy whitewiddowy smell ive not smelt for so long
Steady away this week as always, feeling good about the grow it still looks abit small but there is 23 heads on it so that might explain or i might just be being picky. One good thing tho is that the buds r already rock hard and sticky! I have just bought myself a new extraction fan aswell as it was smelling alittle musty in there and a massive increase in extraction and for the better. the buds smell so amazing if you get right up close they cant be so far away from starting to have that whitewiddowy aroma which is so amazing, I look forward to that.
they stink lovely but the aroma isnt there yet. I think thats down to the humidity which I am having a nightmare with. Ive recently found a strange way to get it down to 49 but I cant continue like this. A high quality dehumidifier definitely tops the list. besides that its just been nice and easy. done a good flush midweek with the bio enhancer which seemed to renew it again.
They r pretty amazing plants in general u know. They have got to the stage now where it looks like not much is happening due to there being so many kolas bundled together but when you open the plant up they r all a fair size. the swelling seems to be coming from the bottom and they are all really hard and dense which is a good sign due to my weak as hell humidity. the buds themselves smell lovely and lemony and quite sharp after a brief touch and they r getting abit tacky now too, but when i first open the door it stinks like shit, cat shit and piss mixed together haha its only a weak smell but i dont like it i expected more citrus. will have to just see what happens i guess.
Ive been leaving the door closed as much as possible this week to keep humidity as low as possible. it tends to be sitting around 48percent which isnt bad to say i couldnt get past 55 a few weeks ago. just been watering with a ph between 6.0 and 6.2 and I had been giving it a litre a day but yesterday I gave it 4 and it just about touched the bottom. I dont know why I did it so dont ask. just a random impulse I guess. still looking orite tho plenty of time left
Got some real swell coming on now with the grow I'm really happy with them and they smelly almost vanillary for some reason when I open the door. They definitely smell like slh if u have touched on tho or even shake the plant a little. They r very heavy buds and I'm hoping that the stalks r not going to be able to support them come the end. Only a couple of cloudy tricromes. I did chop of a bud from the inside that was getting all mangled and not getting any light I don't know how I hadn't seen it earlier such a waste of energy but I dried it and I've had a smoke of it it was pleasant but definitely not ready yet! Haha. One more thing I noticed yesterday. I've got a new and only minor issue with some fungus gnats. Absolutely shite myself when I seen something on the surface after watering them had a brief look into it time to figure out how to solve the problem without stripping the media of its goodness. And ideas would be greatly appreciated anyone.
had a decent bit of swell midweek was a nice surprise. been giving them there last big feed for the week before there wind down and a week of flush. trichromes have began to turn. there is a couple of leafy buds but majority r seriously hard kolas. had the humidity all the way down to 40 for a few days on and off its it definitely shows. definitely learnt alot during this grow and the next one is going to show for it too. im gonna improve the space slightly i need a better air flow and maybe even an aerodynamic room but the temperature is so good. i need to turn the light timer down again also! ive not done it for a bit.
Really starting to fill out now and they feel almost dry to touch and when I say rock hard I mean I cannot even squeeze them! Crazy! The branches are still holding up but there is one or 2 branches that r starting to buckle. Trichromes still not ready there are plenty of clear ones yet to go but I am going to consider the cut off maybe halfway through this next week. Will just see how it goes and will keep u informed. They have a lush smell like lemon with a hint of ginger or something very sticky but it's a delayed sticky and hard to get off! I'm thinking I'm gonna end up with a few oz from the one plant once it's dried I'm looking forward patiently.
Been on the straight water halfway through the week going to be keeping a close eye on them in order to time a 2 day darkness period and I would like them to be close to dry at the roots also so it's all watchy and trying to balance and time things together. One thing is for certain tho some of the buds smell like lemon cleaning products! Crazy. Should be Harvest before next week so I might pop on with some decent pictures if I can get any. Will reupdate once dried also.
Its a pleasant smoke definitely a day time smoker not like crazy blow your mind more of a mellow. Id say the thc level was more moderate than high grade but its stinking at last of pure citrus and its lovely.
growing it was easy especially with the greenhouse foods I will definitely use them again but i think I need some better DNA. I dont doubt the quality of Greenhouse SLH but who truly knows where my cutting came from. I will dabble in another cutting from a different source this time on plants I have seen myself. try to keep a similar schedule and see what the outcome will be. test out a few strains with a similar growing style before I switch things up.
Beautiful and well maintained plant 😍 Good result aswell 👍 Grams and watts are almost equal. Keep up the good work in your future grows and enjoy this great hobby. And most important enjoy the weed 💚
@Mrs_Larimar, love the egg hunt 2, me and the partner was looking earlier admiring the pretty side of things haha. You do good. I cant wait to harvest but no rushing, it is what it is
@Peggers, thank you,, and i agree, its hard to catch their true beauty.....sometimes it works
i felt videos work the best... or doing a photography setup with tons of light^^^^.....but in real they are always nicer
@Mrs_Larimar, thanks! I think ive done orite for my first grow, I learnt so much more with experience than by just researching. And its actually so hard to take a decent picture haha, tho yours must truly be amazing cause they r always like show stoppers!
