Oh and I suspect that the past couple germination failures have been due to some of my peat plugs not having deep enough pre-drilled holes, so seeds end up too close to the surface! Should've noticed it sooner! 😓
I didn't raise my lightpanel fast enough so Smoothie looked a bit too hot this week 😓
She'll be alright now that I've raised the panel to maximum height 🙏

Flushed with FloraKleen this week to get PPM back under 1000 with pH hovering just above 6.
Because Gelato still doesn't seem to be flowering and continues to grow more shoots, I switched to 18/6 light schedule at the start of the week.
I did massive defoliation AND surgical pruning of smaller shoots on Day 68!
I'll have to keep mangling the Gelato if she still wants to grow more.. 😔
Now that Smoothie is harvested out of the way, Gelato is able to take all the space! 😍
I had to switch to 12-12 light cycle to get flowering initiated! 😵
She refused to start flowering until I switched to 12/12 light cycle, making this my most challenging grow yet! Not Fast & Not Auto methinks😕
Had to defoliate, mangle and prune her all kinds of ways to keep away from the lights above and to maintain good light penetration.
Ended up taking 128 days from seed to harvest but made up for it by giving me a huge harvest of really sticky frosted skunky colas! 😌
Harvested 567 grams (wet weight) of Gelato after 128 days and 168 kWh of total energy spent.
My lights averaged only 42 watts during the grow due to colas being less than inch away from the leds! 😆
This ended up being my best yielding grow to date, by far! 👏😎
Having the Gelato act this way ended up being a happy accident! 😲
