So i had some PPP seeds labeled "autoflower" but found out they are in fact feminized. No big deal, i treat them all the same, even my autos get 12/12 if they're with photos. 2 of 3 popped so HEEEEERE WE GO!!!
Oh also this is my first run using the 2x2 tent as a starting point. I absolutely LOVE it.
Everything is sailing along smoothly. Using different nutrients this time around, my Dad gave me his leftover Fox Farm and some Terpinator which i will add later.
These suckers grew QUICK after sprouting. Even the one i topped way too early, just kept kickin ass. Very happy with these genetics and nutrients so far.
They're settling into their forever pots and new tent nicely. Added Terpinator to their feed schedule. I have to say, i was leary about using my dad's leftover nutrients but the plants seem to enjoy them.
Really nothing to speak of this week, just keeping them happy and healthy. Doing early training to keep them short, even though i will be moving them to a much taller 4x4 i just feel like short plants ars easier to deal with, and deliver nutrients better but that's just a theory.
Flipped these babies to flower early. I want to get my perpetual grow flowing, and i have 5 plants at 3 different stages so if I can get these to mid flower sooner, I'll have everything on a flowing schedule by then.
Another uneventful week, which as a grower is great! LOL. No news is good news. The plants are doing well, they get bushy & leaves get twisted so i do some defoliation every few days or so. I also adjusted the LST ties and yanked down the sprouting growth.
Finally after more than 2 weeks in flower, they're finally starting to show some stretch. ..not much, but some. I'll probably stop adjusting my ties at this point and just let them reach for the light.
Interesting week, i got the 4x4 sanitized and the new plants moved in. I also started new seeds, and upgraded my flowering light to a dual 315watt CMH.
The plants are LOVING the extra space and deeper penetrating light! They have exhibited great flower progress over the last 3 days, this light is AMAZING! I am sold, I'll probably keep this as my flowering light!
Holy crap, these girls smell like spare tires, and there's an almost cigarette ash smell to the leaves when i pull them. This is gona REEK in late flower!!
I kinda hate this stage of flower; everything seems to stop, no noticeable progress for many days or even a week or two.
The trichomes are starting to sparkle, and the fragrance is coming out. Smells like motorcycle tires.
They're stacking, and absolutely LOVING the CMH light. Smooth sailing. Just waiting, waiting, waiting. The autoflower that's hanging out with these will be gone soon.
Man, i cannot wait to smoke these!! So dank, so weird smelling! But as the trichomes develop, they're getting an almost berry sweetness. I hope they don't get too sweet, and stay nice and rubbery-stanky.
I dropped Grow Big and added Cha Ching this week. Initially i was a little worried I started Cha Ching too soon, but a whole week's use and I don't see any problems. I think i have some general nutrient burn and some wind burn on some of the fan leaves, i reduced nutrients abd got a gentler oscillating fan.
YES!!! This is the kind of bud i was hoping to grow; pungent and dank! From about late veg into early flower, these plants had a really rank cigarette ashtray & burnt tire vibe to them, and as they ripened they got a bit sweeter. Absolutely amazing smoke, even as it's still curing and the "greeny" taste goes away, it's pleasant and leaves a lingering semi-skunky taste on the palate. Dense as hell, too!!
