Day 5 - GG4 had strong tap roots, decided to transplant. Ran 1/4 tsp per gallon (or about 1 tsp per bucket) of each nutrient solution, then pH'd to about 6.1 in each bucket. STILL nothing from my AK-47, a little nervous but holding out just in case it's a "late bloomer" lol. Used dropper to steal some of the nutrient-pH'd water from each bucket to water my AK-47.
Day 7 - Finally! One successful AK-47 germination, I planted two more fresh seeds of it to see if I can get just one more sprout for my empty bucket. Set up my other buckets to prepare for transplant and changed to an 18/6 lighting schedule as 20/4 seemed pretty overkill. GG4 seems to be coming along nicely, filled in some more clay pebbles to keep any light from reaching the water below.
Idk how much experience you have with this strain, but generally you wont need nutrients for the first 3 weeks time. There's a bunch of nutes in the seed itself, that initializes growth. Here's some tips that might help:
- make sure the waterline is high enough for the seed to get moisture. Kinda looks like roots haven't established in the clay pellets
- Also, water around 15-16 degrees is almost too cold tbh. A larger amount of heavy metals will be absorbed by the roots at this temp. 18-21 is the sweetspot.
- try pH at 5.8-5.7
- Lower the lights to like 65 cm above canopy, and go on a 24h light schedule if it fits you.
