Chemhoe was bred by People Under the Stairs and is a cross of their inbred chem strain 4DD and Tahoe OG. These girls are regular seeds so should be interesting. The goal with these two is to sex them and hopefully get one of each or two females. From there I will take cuttings of both to put into a tissue culture solution and preserve the two without having to keep a mother plant. I will continue this process perhaps one more time or maybe use another regular strain instead depending on the results of this first strain. Using tissue culture will allow me to get breeders selected and have their genes on hand no matter what filial generation it gets down to. I want to use one of the F1 males or females I merely initiate rooting on their tissue culture. Micro propagation is the challenge I’m presenting myself with and these hoes are just the beginning.

Off to a good start. I think I won the monthly PUTS raffle, they sent me another pack of Chemhoe. So now I have a shit ton of Chemhoe seeds. Keeping my eyes open for any regular genetics that might be worth indexing. There’s several land race strains and heirlooms that I plan on picking up over the next several months. At this point it’s all preparations for tissue culture. The Chemhoes should be sexed in about a month maybe more. Like I previously said males will be kept for cloning as well. The main attraction to tissue culture is that I don’t have to maintain a mother plant. That means I can take my cuttings, culture it, and flower the main plant to see how each clone can turn out. With that I’ll know what males are worth keeping as well as females. Very exciting, I can also then run experiments with all the beneficial bacteria. Potential is limitless 🤤

Hard to get pictures of these with the pushy autos. But look at my thick bitch. That hoe on the left is a fucking pleasure to work with. The vigor is there. Now we just got to hope it’s a female. I said several weeks for the propagation tent but I’m actually moving that ahead. Picking up the tissue culture supplies as well. The growth is just so tempting to cut and train but I don’t want to waste potential cuttings. If this Chemhoe is female then we may have hit the jackpot on our first round. Fuel to my fire! Procuring a vigorous female on my first go allows me work on procuring others regular seeds! We just got to keep going. Investing in new techniques and creating a wider understanding is the shit that propels me right now. It’s hard seeing so many strains and not being able to try all of them. How do you satiate a hunger that is constantly being feigned by the release of new strains? This is the paradox of being a grower in a market on the brink of a revolutionary adoption. There is no satiation! Bahaha 😹

Ahhhhhh I want to start training this plant so bad. The tissue culture kit is intimidating and I have found myself in the middle of a deep clean to further prepare. Also really can’t believe the size of the leaves. There’s also already a slight gas smell from the rub of the stem. Male or female this one will be a keeper. The vigor is off the charts compared to the sibling. Once I get everything set up should be able to give it some good structure before the flip. Jackpot, off of first seeds pop (in terms of breeding) and if it keeps up I’ll have to fight off Littlefoot and his crew while they go after my tree stars.

Only complaint is how long it’s taking for propagation tent. Should be here soon. Once here Chemhoe training begins. The left is a fucking beast just absolutely beautiful. Right one is trying to keep up but really just overshadowed.

Plant training has begun. Pretty intense. Feels like a shame chopping off so much but it’s the only way to manage. Chemhoe on the left was just unruly. Huge thick stems and just wanted to dominate the environment. Got 10 tissue culture samples from it so here’s to hoping it sticks. Now the right one can start to grow a bit. I’ll see if I can get more vessels going to get some samples of it to. But yeah now we’re on to the fun part. Will probably take out right as once I’ve decided to take TC sample or not. The one vigorous monster will probably be givin the tent to herself. The water uptake is insane and I can potentially see her bouncing back from such a huge topping. They will probably veg for one more month depending on the auto flowers.

Well down to one Chemhoe. Made the decision to cut the runt and focus on this one girl. She bounced back from the topping and I gotta say I’m looking forward to seeing what she got. Several of the tissue culture samples were not viable so down to three potential clones from that first round. Will prepare more vessels and run again since the Chemhoe is going to have spare foliage in the coming weeks. Everything is running smoothly. Once she has space I think she will shine even more then she has been.

She was topped again. The growth was just overwhelming and not sure how long the Samsquanch has yet so it’s going to be vegging anyways. Not much to report, when I transplant her into the bigger hydro reservoir there should be quite the show with roots. This bitch is all encompassing 😍

Girl is a beast. Bounce back from multiple toppings. Wants the tent all to her self. Hopefully the OGs finish soon and I can grant her wish. Crazy plant, extremely vigorous!

Plant is doing good. Transplanted into the bigger reservoir. Drinks about 2 gallons a day, tucking intense. Starting to flush the Samsquanch so after today will flip to 12-12. Looking forward to getting her budding

She finally has the tent to herself! Now I have to start bending while she’s pliable and get her to fill out the tent. Hopefully we only got 11 weeks until she’s done. Been a monster this entire time. Now we can see what the effort was all for. The water uptake is insane, killing 5 gals in 3 days. Been an impressive grow and seems like it might stay that way, as long as the stretch isn’t overwhelming hahahaha fucking story of my life!

I’m 6”2. This plant is fucking huge. The tent I got was to tall for the room. Going to use the gorilla grow tent extensions. Fucked the wires on my HLG gonna play with it try to get it working. Been about 3 days without a consistent light cycle. Last two days just darkness. Plant has viable damage not near as bad. Yeah, feeling a bit fucked. 😑

I know where you're at mate. it's that perfect spot where you're thinking ok we're good just stop growing....STOP... NO just buds please!!! I hope the stretch ends here for you my dude. I had to zip tie my lights & remove the risers from my trays this last coco grow and it's still not over lol. Hopefully they calm down and you don't need to adjust any further

@Ner0z, oh man yeah that’s exactly where I’m at. Going to have to do some last minute supercropping to get her bent away. Will need to invest in zip ties. Always slips my mind but that’s probably what I’ll have to do. Thanks for sharing bud 👍😎
