I started with the 3 part nutes at day 8 to fix a small N deciency and i fixed it in less then 24 hours.
I trasplanted the plants at day 10 to a 6.5 litres pot; after 24 hours they are 100% recovered and happy.
some of them still look a bit yellow: i'm going to increase the 3 part nutes at the next irrigation.
Day 17 update: 2 ethos plants are really well and also one fo the MACs i think i'm going to top them at the beginning of week 4. I have one MAC that is slow, small and with some deficiency still: My original plan for this grow is to flower only 2 plants so this mac is probably the first one i'm going to kill.
The plants look healthy and happy. At the beginning of the week i increased a bit the distance between the canopy and the light and turned the dimmer up ( from 40%to 60%). looks like they really appreciate it and they speed up a bit adding two more nodes in less then 5 days without stretching too much.
The last day of week 3 I topped the plants and i did a little of lst ( i break a big leave while i was trying to lst if F**K ); now i wait they recover from this stress to transplant the babies in their final pot ( 20l)
day 26: i selected one "big detroit energy" and i killed the other one to reach my target: select 2 plant ( one per strain) to flower.
then i transplanted the survivors to their final pot ( 20l)
The Ethos plant looks a little slow in recovery from trasplant. as soon as the two babies are ok i will switch them to flower
this week wasn't a full week: as soon as i saw the plant recovered from transplant i first prune the bigger leaves and then, the same day, but after few hours from pruning, i put them in the dark for 24 hours in order to prepare the plant for flowering. I'm really excited.
VEGETATIVE PHASE IS OVER: for this reason i would like to spend some words about the equipment i've used in this first cycle:
- ANESIA: first time with Anesia one of the two seeds i germinate revealed a super poor plant and i killed it after less then ten days but the other one is WONDERFUL, healty and strong plant with beautiful structure. she grows fast and strong and she also loves to be topped: i've never had a plant that recovers this fast from topping. RATING: 810
- ETHOS: they are one of my favorite seed bank, i plant this Big Detroit Energy ( that was a freebies) to test the led before planting more expensive genetics. both plant where nice healty and strong if I had more space I would have kept them both. The one i selected was very interesting in structure and in internode spaces but she reaced really bad at the TOPPING: she slow down a lot after the top and for the first time of my life she generates ONLY one STEM after the pruning for this reason my rating can't be more then 710
- LUMATEK ATTIS 300: this light is a beast and helped me a lot to keep my environment pefectly tuned with the perfect VPD ration ( and when i say perfect i mean that i never had a wrong value, never). I noticed that with this led the plant remain really small but with a lot of nodes: my goal for the net cycle is to increase a bit the stretch: honestly i never had plant this short and with this number of nodes and i'm a bit afraid that this could be a problem in the flowering stage.. my ratings at the moment is 910 even because they have an AMAZING customer service that replies super fast and super helpfull, if you have a lumatek use their customer service.
ADVANCED NUTRIENTS: i've been using them for years and still i have some troubles on the N regulation. i'm thinking about changing the 3 part nutes in the next cycle. Piranha Tarantula and Voodoo are still surprise me everytime. RATINGS i 710 cause i'm tired of this N problems LOOOL
SECRET JARDIN DR90: nice tent nothing to complain. rating 910
After the 24 hours dark the plants are still alive LOOOOL and i'm happy but the leafes change color like you can see in the pics. before the dark they where perfect.
i'm going to wait them for recover after this dark shock cause i want to see if this change of the leaves is due to this kind of shock or if they are really needing to fix some deficiencies.
the soil is still moist and i don't want to over water them
Secondo week of flowering. i increased the base nutes and add some specific flowering nutes.
Big detroit energy is stretching a lot ( around 2.5 cm per day)
Mac is really slow in stretchinG ( around 0.8 cm per day)
both are showing some sign of first flower and look healty and happy
Around day 10 of flow i realized that the mac was not stratching more then 0,8 cm per day for this reason i put a scrog net to try to lower a bit the ethos plant and to open up mac's branches ( which are really really dense). unfortunately i did too late and it has been a little ineffective. the next time i want to do it earlier.
I started this week with a huge defoliation and lollipopping in order to encourage the plants to grow bigger frosty buds.
This defoliation has been quite massive, let's see how the plants react; i'm pretty sure they love it.
Plants has recovered really really fast from the last week's huge defoliation and they are building up wonderful buds. I had some troubles to fix my environment parameters due to the incoming spring and the increasing of the external temperatures but now i finally find my sweet spot ( 2025 celsius and 4555 % RH).
Today i checked the plants very carefully and looks like none of them has hermed ( at the moment loool), so congratulations to anesia and ethos for those stable genetics ( i was a little scared of herms expecially from ethos since i got these seeds from a freebie pack).
I know the battle against hermaphroditism in feminized seed is never won until you cut them down for curing but i'm in the middle of the flowering stage and i'm super confident i'm going to win also this time.
Plants are well and they are doing great they start to build up some dope canopies.
I'm really satisfied of this led performances and canopy penetration.
Mac smell it's so sweet and delicious she's doing great and she is perfectly on time with the breeder flowering suggested time
Bid detroit energy has a super light smell at the moment and she is a bit late imho. Both strains have a 9 weeks flowering period i think the ethos plant requires more then 9 at the moment but let's see.. some strains can speed up a lot and can do in a week what other plants normally do in two..
Plants are doin great, they are building up some dense buds with an amazing smell.
Both are showing some deficiency symptoms but i'M pretty sure its a P deficiency i'm going to fix soon switching from big bud to overdrive.
In the past i've always do the last huge defoliation at day 45 now i'm reasoning on do it a little earlier cause they hav build a strong leafs system again, I think that this happened cause the led light is working really well and helps the photosyntesis way more then the cmh i used before
Day 45 i defoliate a bit my plants then i switched from big bud to overdrive for the last 2 weeks of fertilization; looks like the plants are quite ahead cause the 100% of the trychomes are cloudy already ( the breeders say 65 flowring day) i'm going to check the trychomes daily as soon as i see the 10% turning amber i will start the flush
Defoliation at day 45 give me some problems: Mac hasn't reacted well and now i can clearly see some male flowers poppin out from the bud: she hermed but at this point is not a big problem cause the plants are almost ready to be harvested.
Besides from this Mac problem ( only a couple of buds shown some male) the plants are amazing and almots ready. i'm going to cut the nutrients and feed them with only water and enzymes to flush the roots
This cycle is finally over. i'm really really satisfied with the results i got with this amazing Attis 300.
I'm also totally in love with those breeders i tried for the first time ( Ethos Genetics and Anesia) and i'm really looking forward to purchase some new seeds from them for my next run ( i've some ethos beans already but nothing from anesia so i got to dig into their website asap)
Plants look massive and with amazing amazing colors, production probabily won't be super great but it was totally my fault cause i still need to learn how to set in the proper way my new led ( expecially in the veg stage) and i also had some issues to fix my environment parameters due to the cold i had around my grow tent.
1112 light cycle is the best light cycle i can suggest for flower.
Stay tuned for the final weight results and feel free to ask me anything you want.
A little spoiler for my next grow: after years i'm going to leave Advanced Nutrients for Emerald Harvest and i'm really excited to leave the 1000 bottles for only 45; and i'm goign to try a real SCROG for the first time in my life.
