Had problems with ph swing on this run and a faulty ph meter caused extra issues but overall it bounced back well. Moral of the story is always have a spare ph tool lol
This strain is total fire, in organic soil it was amazing and now in coco it looks just as good but bigger buds. Beautiful bud colour, chunky buds and unique smell. Top shelf bud🔥
The hardest buds I have grown, like rocks. Thc content is like the last grow insanely good. Bag appeal, smell and bud structure is 10/10.
After growing this strain in organics and then coco I am now going to try it in hydro.
I really do like barneys farm seeds and highly recommend the Runtz Muffin strain.
@Jayvo, yeah I took one back from the four I gave away. The plants I have ready to go next in that area are still too small so thought I may as well keep myself busy. I will dry in that tent as well as my other area is too cold.
It doesn’t seem to be getting much of a purple colour like it’s mum did and seems slightly behind in terms of maturity although it’s obvious that the buds would have been bigger in coco if they were in the same size pot. This is only in a 10L where it’s mum was in a 20.
I do like the shogun nutrients and particularly their cal mag, bloom booster, root stimulator and the zenzyme.
I am doing a hydro run of the runtz next on a Nft table.
Incredible mate, I’m using an entire army of nutrients and it doesn’t look as frosty.. hopefully my next run will be somewhat similar, I decided to go with the Bud XL as recommended l, really nice work man
@Jayvo, yeah I wouldn’t bother with the lemonade. Me and a few friends combined for a pheno run and only found one we thought was on a top level.
Once I find a good pheno out of these 5 I am going with some OZ kush which is zkittlez x og eddy just for something different. Unless that is I find my favourite pheno of the runtz lol
@Esoteric_growing, Just seen this now.. the main reason I wanna do strawberry lemonade is because I’m tired of standard lemon haze and wanted to do something different, but if it’s a 1 in 50 chance then I’ll have to leave it.. im considering a run of mamosa just to find the best pheno, save it, then go back to runtz muffin, but I’ll probably do the runtz muffin pheno hunt first because I honestly think it’s an amazing strain. I look forward to each post, always great to learn of a veteran grower of yourself.. that’s why I love the internet, less trial and error.
@Jayvo, the selection process for this lemonade pheno was chosen out of 50 plants. None of the others were anywhere like this one. This one is straight lemon, more lemon that lemon haze and lemon skunk put together. And I wasn’t blown away by the other 49 that was in the pheno hunt so I would go with the runtz.
Or the watermelon zkittlez, I am waiting excitedly for a cut off a friend lol. Also mimosa would be a good choice also which is a barneys strain.

@Esoteric_growing, am currently only runing runtz xf1 from pcg and dankalato from dank genetics grew a lot of gelato41 from Growerschoice but the runtz now my favorite smoke 10/10

@OrganicNature420, have a look at my previous runtz diary particularly the week before harvest to get a idea of the different phenos.
There are some phenos in the runtz muffin which are literally the best looking cannabis I have ever seen👍 You won’t be disappointed my friend
i have same ph problem this run, my meter was off by almost 2 points,couldnt figure out why i kept adding ph down and it still said i was at 7.
bought another one now lol
@igrowtomatoes, yep the key lesson I learnt was always keep a spare ph meter to hand lol. To be honest I should have known by the amount I was adding plus the leaves telling me something was wrong but I took my eye off the ball a touch this grow. Saying all that the bud production was excellent this run for a small 10L pot
@Roberts, yeah agreed my growing brother. I had about a year break from growing in coco and over fed them and also my ph pen malfunctioned so ph was low for a while which didn’t help. Also this pheno has dark coloured leaves naturally which also threw me off in terms of reading the leaf. Many excuses lol but I think I should have just paid more attention to the plant
@esoteric-growing looks amazing 🔥in my second week of runtz using canna not to sure about going to shogun or advanced and do u think I should go straight to 14 litre pot in few days or got to 5 litre pot am in 2l pot atm am on day 13 would be much appreciated ✌️

As for nutrients I tend to only grow organically in soil usually with bio bizz nutrients as it’s so simple, I don’t need to ph (unless it’s over 7.7 from the tap) or water to run off. And if I do get any run off it’s such a small amount it gets sucked back in to the pot within 10 mins. So minimal work. Plus it’s a real clean smoke.
If I am going to ph balance my solution and feed chemicals I may as well grow in coco as they grow faster and yield is better.
If you are sticking with the chemical types of nutrients I would stick with what you have, if you are going to change go bio bizz or even canna bio would be my second choice.
Have a look at my organic runtz grow specifically the pics at the week before harvest and harvest week to see what it can look like in soil grown organically.
Lastly I find the most important thing is light intensity, correct environment and just keeping the plants looking healthy. Nutrient choice is further down the list of importance but still a factor to consider.
