Chamalla New attempt, hopefully without the troubles plaguing my Haze Express. This will be a soil grow, I have no clue why I started with coco & chems, but I'm going to move my entire grow over to organic soil, starting with this wee Diesel Haze & Girl Scout Cookie,

Chamalla The first Sour Diesel Auto had germinated, but then sadly it died. I'm not sure why, I was careful to keep it moist but not soggy, yet it simply would not break through the soil. When I looked, the tap root had turned brown and squishy - i.e. dead. So I've popped a 2nd one, it's already cracked its shell open and is raising it above the soil. I'm hopeful it'll prove stronger than its sibling.

Grow Questions

Chamallastarted grow question 8y ago
I know autos aren't supposed to be re-potted, but the Haze Express left me hesitant to go the direct-in-final-container route again ... and really, if I don't disturb the root ball / pot content at all, how much stress can that create? Will the beasties even notice?

Hi bro! You won't create any stress if you do it properly : the idea when repotting an auto, is to avoid touching any roots, and instead take the hole thing into its new container. I do it systematically with my autos : they're born in a 0.5L airpot, then once the roots are showing by the bottom of the container, I transfer them into 11L airpot. These airpots make it easy to 're-pot' because you can remove the container without touching roots. I won't try such an operation with a regular container unless you can "cut" the pot and proceed to gentle manipulations... I'll be around, good luck with these babies!

Chamalla Oh my goodness I topped an auto! :-O Shock, horror! I've now also removed the side shoots on nodes 1 and 2. I've left the fan leaves at node 2 until she's repotted. The Haze is playing catch-up.

Chamalla GSC "Greta" is looking surprisingly well - or, swell ... new growth seems vigorous. Intending to pot her up soon so she has the resources to recover just as quickly from the next topping. SDH, or "Saidah", is catching up - likely going to be topped for the first time this week. I'm not sure the whole giving them names thing is working for me, to be honest, but I'm going to run with it for now and see.

Chamalla GSC and SDH are growing really quite vigorously since moving to the cabinet. Edited to add: couldn't be more chuffed with FastBuds' GSC here. Such a hassle-free and obedient plant. Just look at her, she's been topped twice already, now she's doing some LST, and she's giving me no grief whatsoever! Edited again to add: I want to marry those genetics. Create lots of human/FastBuds-GSC hybrid children who will conquer the world or something. Something.

Chamalla Moved them under the terrible light again (sorry) because I wanted the nice one for the first no-till planters ... they're almost finished, though! LOVELY smell, the both of them. The Haze is a bit more subtle about it but very enticing, while the GSC is very much in your face deliciousness. Not long now, GSC is being flushed already, flush for the Haze starts next week.

I'm going to need this strain in a photosensitive capacity ... seriously, super tasty, very potent, easy to grow - if you wanted the perfect advertisement for your seedbank, those GSC autos are a fairly good shot. I still have two of them, pretty sure they'll find their way into one of my planters soon.

Chamalla New favourite strain. I'm hoping that this is a good indication of what Gelato will be like, which apparently has a lot of GSC in its lineage.

Chamalla Only the Haze left now, will give her 2 weeks more than the Girl Scout Cookies, as she only now started The Fattening. A new batch of 3 has been growing for a couple weeks, and has been reinforced by another batch of 4 this week.
