For a long time wanted to do a pc grow and the day came.
Took a old pc gutted it out, tapped it all with aluminum foil used a cooler to intake and the cpu cooler to exaust, soldered both to a usb and i worked perfect.
For the light im using a cheap 50w grow led from aliexpress (4€).
For the reservoir i bought a tupperware 2.8 liter volume taped the bottom with black tape and the lid with alluminium foil tap. To hold the rockwool in place im using foam from a pool board and works fine.
The air pump is a 4w old aquarium pump with a dimmer connected with a 5 mm silicone tube to a large airstone.
Im gonna use this grow to try to get 40g plus on this small pc box. Being and auto i cant play much with it (topping and high stress training) but because its very dificult to isolate light on a pc box an autoflower makes everything easier.

Welcome to week 1 of my first hydroponics system
*Day 1*
The seedling broke trough the rockwoll and the first leaves are on sight. Check for roots and they didnt came out of the bottom. Added a very light solutions of nutes to the reservoir.
*Day 3*
She continues to grow still waiting to roots to come out to add some root boosters to the solution
*Day 5*
The root finally came out of the rockwool cube and looking for water. Added a few more things to the solution to stimulate the roots.
*Day 8*
After i added the nuts on day 5 the leaves started to curl so i think the plant didnt like it that much. Today i removed 1/3 of the solution and added just water hoping that in the next days she will recover from the over fert. If not I will change the whole reservoir.
*Day 9*
The leaves still a bit curled not sure if its getting better or not cause I don't see much progress from the last 3 days. The roots are definitely getting bigger and spreading into the bubbles coming from the air pump
*Day 12*
She didnt recovered even with 1/3 of the solution changed for plain dechlorinated water. She's growing but slowly. Tomorrow will change the whole reservoir with just water and later add base nutes very slowly.
*Day 13*
For my surprise she woke up much better and looking good. The new leaves don't look so curled anymore. I think she started to consume the nutes. Gonna wait till next Tuesday (when my tds meter arrives) to change the water and give a proper feed this time with half of the recommended.
*Day 15*
End of another week. I'm not sure if its the strain or if its because its in a small space but this plant is tiny, she's growing normally in terms of nodes but all leafs are small and its a tiny overall. Gonna let it go and see what the future brings.
*Day 18*
Changed the whole solution and gave her a new feed with 500 ppm. Added a 2nd line of LST to keep her growing horizontally.
*Day 20*
She's getting a bit bigger but I think won't be enough to have a decent yield. Thinking about to stop this grow and start something new.
*Day 21*
Some brown spots showed up in some leaves. Either calcium deficiency or some fungus. Cutter all leaves with the brown spots
I think something is wrong with the plant. She's way too little. The 5th node coming out and she's 6 cm long. Being the first time to grow and auto on a pc box with dwc, I'm not sure whats the problem. I think is lack of light but can be because is in a small space. Any tips?
Your plant has a Calcium Deficiency, that's why the leaves look this way, just removing them won't fix the issue, you need some type of Cal-Mag supplement, this should clear up the issue so no more leaves become damaged, but the leaves that are already damaged will not recover and eventually will need to be removed.

With the LST to make the most out of it you should make sure the primary stem is lower than all of the others. So tie the main down the the base of the pot and let your side shoots explode. Then release the tie on the main stem when she starts flowering ;)

GH Calimagic is the best bottled Calmag Product I guess...
I use Magnecal+ because of current availability...
If you haven’t got that yet you should increase EC to 1.2 she looks hungry.
