Exotic Genetix Greasy & Tropical Runtz

GanjaWhiteKnight After a two week seedling period (first grow... whoops 😬) these ladies finally started to sprout. Got the coco dialed in and whoosh, off they went. These were taken at the beginning of February (5-7th?) so I’ll post an updated log of them in their present state. Greasy Runt is balled up for some reason, not sure what the deal is... saw a Slapz grow (same parents, opposite reversal) where the plant looked very similar... maybe it’s just genetics. Anyhow, feel free to let me know how I’m doing. Roast me, compliment me, all insights appreciated.

GanjaWhiteKnight Well, I finally convinced myself to top the ladies. I was pretty reluctant cause it’s my first grow, but ended up being pretty painless. The pruning of the lower growth sites was actually the tricky part, but I had the guidance of a grower friend so things went smooth. I went for 4 mains and decided I’ll try to ScrOG it. I’m thinking 4 plants might be tight in a 3x3 but time will tell 😅. It’s been so damn cold in the Midwest I gotta run my little space heater on full blast to keep my tent conditions stable, but other than that all is well. For the first time in the entire grow, PH/EC outflow of all 4 plants was between 1250-1350 (EC) and 5.8-6.2 (Ph). TR#3 has always been my tricky lady, but she decided she wants to fall in line with her sisters. Excited to document the post topping growth!

GanjaWhiteKnight Sheeeeesh... went through it all this past week. Following the topping, the ladies exposed their mildly advanced calcium/iron deficiencies. For a first timer this was, as you can imagine, horrifying. I needed to be using 5ml/calmag from the jump with botanicare nutes in RO water and I wasn’t, so this is probably a months worth of deficiencies being exposed. I’ve since been using 5.5ml of CalMag per gallon. Growth has resumed but there’s interveinal chlorosis on TR1 and TR2 and I can’t even say what Greasy Runtz and TR1 have going on with them... not experienced enough. Hoping that running the primary nutrients (PBProGrow) at full blast along with CalMag at full blast will in turn correct Nitrogen/Iron/Calcium/Magnesium deficiencies. I guess time will tell. For now, I’m just relieved that the ladies are growing again and I didn’t murder them... but I’m well aware that if the deficiencies persist then I’m going to have a mediocre harvest, and lower potency. As a med patient doing this to (ideally) supply my own medicine, this is less than ideal. I digress — I’m still extremely happy to be growing. The stress is somehow therapeutic, and the labor is of love...but I want nothing more than to grow actual medicine for myself and my lil family. If any of you more experienced growers care to chime in, lmk! Help is appreciated but not expected. Peace n love 🕺
