Plantsamater Hey there, friends!!! As you can see, we're going to start the grow diary for the Gelato Auto from Fastbuds. We've never grown autos before, and we hope our first experience will be good enough for a solid test. From what I understand, this breeder has one of the most potent genetics in the auto world. In our case, we've chosen Gelato because it's a strain we've never tried and it really catches our attention, plus it's one of the strongest varieties from this breeder. First, we placed a damp paper towel in a tupperware and put the seeds on top, with their respective labels to identify them, focusing on the Gelato (the paper should always be damp but not soaked). Then we can place another layer of damp paper over the seeds to better maintain the temperature and humidity. When we have the seeds covered with the paper and placed in the tupperware, we can close it and leave it in a spot with a temperature between 20 and 26 degrees and in the dark. After three days, all the seeds have germinated perfectly, confirming the effectiveness of this breeder 6/6. Although we are going to focus, as we said, on the Gelato. I should mention that we only took care of keeping the paper damp by misting when necessary and placing the tupperware in a warm, completely dark spot. The rest was handled by the paper method that never fails and the quality of the genetics... The last step of this week was completed with the transplanting of the seeds to the jiffys. You have to be very careful when handling the seeds, try to touch the radicle or root as little as possible, since they are very delicate and can catch any infection or get damaged. Once placed in the jiffys, we watered them a little and now we wait patiently for them to sprout... It's important for you to know that this is our first time on Growdiaries.com, so we are open to advice, opinions, and constructive criticism through the comments. We would really appreciate it. For our part, we will work to improve and bring the best information possible. Remember that we usually hang out on Instagram at the profile of @plantsamater, The jungle of amateurs plants. An account dedicated to the art, education, and cannabis cultivation. We hope the diary is enjoyable for the GrowDiaries community. Big cheers, friends!!! @plantsamater

Plantsamater Hey there, friends... Here’s the update on the Gelato Auto after transplanting the jiffy into a pot using Allmix substrate (Plagrón). We’re going to keep watering this first week of growth with Plagrón's germination booster Seeds booster´´ (7 drops per liter of water). It's very important to protect the plants in their first weeks so they don’t suffer from bird, insect, or other types of threats with some cover or structure, especially at night and dawn. I cut a bottle and used it as a funnel to protect it and ensure it has no breathing issues. Hope you like it, and if you have any advice or questions, don’t hesitate to drop them in the box for discussion. Big hugs, friends!!! @plantsamater

Plantsamater Hey friends, the third week is here!!! I'm having issues with the weather since we've had a cloudy and rainy week. The sun just won't come out, which has made the growth of this auto slow. Let's hope the weather improves and it can get much more direct sunlight. ... Hello again, as I was saying, the weather doesn't let me grow outdoors because it doesn't have the necessary hours of light, they have fallen quite behind so I've moved them indoors to 16 hours of light and they have really appreciated it. In just 4 days they've grown twice as much. I don't know if I can add any fertilizer from the Plagron or Topcrop range (which is what I have) to the watering, to help the strain recover and grow to a considerable size so I can change the light period to 12 hours. Thank you so much for the help, Best regards and I hope you like it. @plantsamater

Plantsamater Good morning, my friend!! As I said, they had little light, and I moved them indoors, giving them 18 hours of light for about 4 days and then switched to 12/12. The change has been amazing. The strain has grown a lot and is already starting to show the first hairs. Thanks to some advice that helped me understand the growth of an auto, it's gradually recovering... I hope you enjoy the follow-up!! Cheers, friends. @plantsamater

Plantsamater Hey there, friends. Check out how things are progressing on day 40... It's incredible how much light they were lacking. Just a week and a half under the marshydro light, and they've completely changed. They've taken on a healthy and strong appearance. They've sprouted white and healthy hairs, and I’ll start giving them some flowering fertilizer from the Plagron range, which is what I use. Hope you like the change in the Gelato from Fastbuds!! Cheers, friends!

Plantsamater Very good!!! We keep moving forward. The strain is growing a lot in size, I guess because of the change from outdoor to indoor. The nodes are quite far apart and it looks like it won't produce much... Any advice or additive to fix it? Without further ado, we start with the flowering. Best regards!

Plantsamater The Gelato ended up growing too stretched and not very flowering. As we mentioned in previous weeks, we saw that it wasn't going to have much flower production due to the stress it suffered in the first weeks after germination, because of the lack of light. Its growth, when we gave it the necessary light, was very strong, growing a great distance between nodes and producing few cuttings... Something we didn't like at all 😔 Anyway, we're here to keep going. You can tell in the air that it's going to have a strong smell because it's already starting to smell a little... Not everything is going to be bad 😬 Even though I've had that problem and it's going to produce a small amount, I have a lot of faith in it and I think it's going to produce some very interesting flowers. 🤯💨💚
