Started my first indoor grow, my strain being the Quick One by Royal Queen Seeds! Using Biobizz Light Mix as my medium and will be using Biobizz nutes as well. The seed germinated in 3 days. I had my light about 50-60cm above the pot for the first days, but decided to lower it a bit since the seedling was showing signs of stretching and was about to fall. I now have a bamboo stick supporting it. My tent is very small, 40x40x120 (cm), placed inside a closet. So far I have been very pleased with the tent, very stealthy. My only problem is that the temperature inside tends to rise a bit too high (around 30-31 celcius), due to the tent being inside a closet. I have an exhaust fan, but due to it being somewhat loud I won’t be using it before I need it for the smell. I have been trying to lower the temps by placing frozen bottles of water inside the tent, seems to work fine! Also, the air inside is very dry by default, but I sprinkle water in the waterproof floor of the tent. This keeps the humidity in the 40-50% range.

This week I started with nutes, giving her Biobizz Root-Juice and Bio-Heaven. She has been growing in such a nice manner that, even though it’s early, I decided to start with some light LST. Kinda nervous since I’ve never done it before, but so far she’s reacted well. High temps inside the tent still a bit of a problem. I noticed a couple of leaves showing slight tacoing. Decided to lift my light a bit higher, even though I don’t think it will help a lot. I might also have to try keeping the humidity level a touch higher, it tends to drop below 40 and I read higher humidity helps with heat stress as well.

Very happy with how my plant is coming up! This week I had no problems whatsoever. Rotating ice bottles inside the tent keeps the temps a bit lower, and spraying water to the plant and tent walls a few times per day keeps humidity acceptable. Been doing LST, adjusting a bit every couple of days. The plant is reacting well and the canopy is pretty even. Today I will try to spread the branches a bit wider, since they are a bit bunched up on one side right now. Might also do some light defoliation, not sure. Some people seem to think it’s the way to go, some people think it only causes harm. I have a couple of leaves that touch the soil, and a couple that block the lower branches a lot. Really tempted to just remove them. So far I have been doing just leaf tucking pretty much every day. Overall very happy with the results so far! Surely in the next two weeks she will go into flowering.

This week she went into flowering! I noticed the first pistils around day 23. Immediately started giving her a low dosage of flowering nutes. My temps have been a bit higher again this week, don’t know why... I hope it won’t give me problems during flowering. Overall she is doing great, looking healthy and growing fast! I have been doing a lot of LST, and pretty happy with the results, especially this being my first time trying it. My canopy seems nice and even. I also decided to remove some leaves that were either touching the soil or blocking lower budsites, so far it seems she is taking it well. Today I made my last bigger adjustments to the LST, from now on I’ll try to keep the stress minimal! The smell is getting stronger every day, might need to turn on my exhaust fan soon :)

This week she has been stretching like crazy. Everything has been good, except for some reason I am struggling to keep the humidity up.. it’s probably because I’ve been running my exhaust fan constantly this week due to the smell getting stronger. The humidity drops close to 20% RH, even though I keep spraying water on top of the plant and the walls of the tent several times a day. Now I have some soaked sponges on the floor of the tent, hopefully it will help a bit. The temps keep being higher than I would like, but nothing crazy. I lowered my lamp a bit in the beginning of the week since the manufacturer recommends 30cm during flowering, but she started showing heat stress (the leaves started pointing upwards) so I lifted it a bit higher again. Overall she is great, growing nice and fast, and starting to drink a lot more than earlier. Did my last adjustments to the LST last sunday and now just letting her grow free apart from removing some dying bottom leaves and slight leaf tucking. Cheers!

This week was smooth sailing overall, just watching her grow. She’s kept stretching, the highest point reaching almost 40cm, and the buds are starting to develop nicely. I’ve removed a couple of leaves that were blocking the prime bud sites, and some older bottom fan leaves. Other than that, just giving her water with nutes every other day. I’ve been sticking to about 50% dosage of the BioBizz recommendations and it seems to be working like a charm. Now it’s just waiting and feeding her until finish! I am expecting it to take around 4 weeks more. Will be steadily increasing the nutrient dosage these coming weeks until flush. The same small issues with temps and humidity continue, but I guess 30% RH is fine when going into late flowering. Very happy with her progress, hoping for big yields :)

Easy week, just watching her grow. Giving her more and more nutes. The last couple of days she has started to show somewhat of a nitrogen deficiency, with yellowing old leaves and lime colored top leaves... Not sure whether it’s just the normal dying of old leaves towards the end of flowering, or maybe I have a slight pH -problem. All the Biobizz nutes are fairly acidic, and now that I give higher doses, the pH of my water mixed with nutes goes down to 5.5. Maybe I will just give her water without nutes for a couple of days (my tap water ph is close to 8 pH). Many people seem to suggest using pH up is unnecessary, but I’ll see what I end up doing.

After mixing nutrients with my tap water, the pH of the mix is around 5.5. Should I use a pH -up product? Plant is showing a slight nitrogen deficiency. My tap water base pH is almost 8.0, but the Biobizz nutrients bring it way down. I am using 50% of the recommended dosage.

Yes you should. Your ph needs to be up in the 6.5 range. If you have no ph up baking soda can be used in a pinch. But baking soda it raises your ec so be careful if you use it. Cheers

This week was again just watching her grow, watering every other day. I was worried of having too low pH in the soil and decided to give just water one day instead of water + nutes. Other than that, feeding her normally. The smell is amazing and strong, and the buds are getting fatter every day. She is developing fast, maybe 1-2 weeks more until harvest. Can’t wait!

She is more or less done now, will be chopping within a week! In the beginning of last week I stopped giving nutes, just flushing. Will be posting an update of the yields once I harvest!

I noticed some brown patches on my leaves late into flowering, almost as if they were dirty. I started flushing a week ago. Is this normal or should I do something? The plant is almost ready to be harvested, maybe one week more.

Hi mate, I wouldn't worry too much about it now. You are so close to harvest it won't make a difference. Next time don't flush and and trust the cure. That's where the magic happens. good luck and happy growing

This week I kept flushing and observing the thricomes. 2 days ago I chopped her down, at exactly 10 weeks from germination! I am very happy with the wet yield, lets see what the scale says when they dry but the wet weight was over 200g! I will be doing a harvest post once they are dry. I am drying inside the tent because of the smell. The humidity is too low so they will be done in a week or so. Can’t wait to try it already!!!

A very smooth grow. The strain is fast and easy. Extremely happy with my results! With my 55W led I managed to pull off 53g dry, quality bud. A lot more than I expected, especially this being my first indoor grow. The strain is great for anyone wanting to get a decent yield in a small space, fast!
