HeyHo Growmunity,
arrived in week 17, fourth week in bloom and Deepforest is still on the way towards sky..... Shit..
I had her at 181cm at this morning's feeding🤯🤯... meinerseel if she's going on like this, I'll get a major problem 😅
However, I'll clearly see it the coming weeks. Feedings are on the big side for a couple of weeks now. Depending on the weather conditions she gets between 6-10l per feeding.
Today i added Silica to strengthen the stems and branches, which are still very delicate on the top stage.
I gave her a bit of a training few days ago. I had to move away from the tent with the main and coming narrower with the lower branches.
I would love to clean her up on the bottom side.. but idk yet, because she is an Auto and I don't want to stun her..
A word to the companions which r growing next to my Cannabis plants.
As it is a very easy way to support, defend and aid our lovely ladies. I thought of introducing a companion with every update on the DF Diary.
Please comment, if you'd like to have further infos..
Starting with one of my favorite companions, the stinging nettle!
Planting stinging nettle within close proximity to your cannabis plants will come with a host of rewards. Firstly, stinging nettle is great at attracting beneficial insects into gardens due to the high amount of nectar present in the flowers. Species such as ladybugs find them irresistible and once they arrive, they’ll start mowing through any aphids and spider mites that pose as threats to your cannabis plants.
Not only do stinging nettles protect cannabis plants by boosting numbers of these helpful predators, they also reportedly make plants taste and smell better! This might seem too good to be true and the science isn’t entirely clear, but by planting stinging nettles close to your cannabis plants you will be tapping into a botanical synergy that will increase terpene production within cannabis flowers. This reaction is caused by male nettle pollen, a substance reported to also boost the taste of certain fruits and vegetables.
Terpenes are volatile aromatic hydrocarbons produced by trichome glands and give cannabis plants their signature smells and tastes. These interesting molecules have also been shown to boost the effects of cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, via what is known as the entourage effect.
Stinging nettles are loaded with a wide array of nutrients, including amino acids, iron, potassium, zinc, magnesium, calcium, and many vitamins. Cannabis plants are hungry for this array of macro- and micronutrients and by harvesting stinging nettles and adding them to your compost you can add them to your soil and help prevent deficiencies in your crop.
Compost piles are made up of a mix of brown carbon-rich materials, such as dead leaves and sticks, and green nitrogen-rich materials, such as fresh leaves and stems. Because nettles grow with ease and proliferate vigorously, they essentially provide a free composting material.
However, not all compost is solid. Many gardeners elect to make compost tea, which involves fermenting nutritious plants and other materials to create a nutrient-dense liquid that can be applied as a foliar spray to keep plants healthy and stave off deficiencies. Simply place this beneficial herb into a container of water and soak for up to 3 weeks to allow fermentation to occur. Strain the liquid and use at a fertiliser to water ratio of 1:10 when watering and 1:20 for foliar sprays....
I hope you like the input😁😜
That's all from this week, have a good one and grow safe!
Servus✌️
Oim.
Hmm… this is the second example I see of long term autos that don’t go into bloom, atm I doubt they exist at all.
If possible you could force bloom her by covering the greenhouse with a black cover 12-12. It’s quite demanding though.
Otherwise what @Organic_Larf is saying.
Or take some clones.
Good luck! 🍀
@Doctors_Choice,
I’m not implying that you are lying, I’m simply trying to learn. I was expecting you to mention the low temperature, since I have experienced myself an auto plant going regular because of the weather.
I would honestly like to see a successful diary of a long time auto that blooms when it’s supposed to. Since I live in the northern parts, Denmark to be specific, such an auto type of plant would be wonderful to grow. The weather here is very unpredictable though, so the genes have to be strong.
@Green_Dream, I'm in touch with @@OimRausch from the beginning and never seen to lie or keep back something. From the start of week 5 or 6, the night t was around 4-5°C, 2 of his other plants died already but DF was alive.
We're here for the honest results, no need to keep back and show only the fat buds
This one looks amazing and interest me a lot. Can wait to see your review of her. What do you think about doctors choice? I never tried them but would want to on september
@Doctors_Choice, I would be very grateful if you send me some samples. Of course I would try to grow them with a lot of love 😍
Wasn't expecting this 😅 thx doc!
@Organic_LarF,
🤔already thought about having a fan in the tent. But RH is @ 99% the whole day and the fan is just IP42.. ima afraid of producing a short circuit..🤔
🙌 Bom cultivo amigo 👌🌲
Hi,
Maybe try to focus on a certain quantity of branches, do some LST on those and a good topping for the rest of the branches and even take some out.
Like she is now, she will maybe be to compact 2 stay budrot free.
🙏🌿🌿🌿🙏
@Samokrutovvv, that what we tried to do is to receive the autoflower with the characteristics of feminized non-autoflower and when we got the outdoor monster we understood - it will be like a real challenge
