Update: Well the girls are done. They both had a very severe reaction to the ph swing and didn't look like they were viable. One basically fell apart while the other was making little recovery. Tried taking some clones, attempting to germinate my last Channel Seed and some Blue Deity for the next round!
----------------------
Terrible week. Plant were healthy and growing strong. Fed them on May 1st, cal-mag, 3 g maxibloom and ran out of my lemon juice so added some acidity with vinegar. Added too much as it turns out the ph meter was way off. No more cheap equipment :( Was Aiming for 5.5, ended up below 5.
Some leaves began to curl that evening. Checked the next day and the plants were nearly dead. Jackie Chan may recover but CGG may be dead.
Cut three clones from Chan of Green Gables today. Hepfully some take root...
@bobo420, bought a ph pen and tds meter. TDS meter has been useless, hasn't registered anything on any run off or mix. Been using lemon juice to lower ph of my tap water.
Ph seemed to usually creep back up. Last time I fed them I went lower around 5.3, around 6 in bucket now.
Both plants looking better today.
@bobo420, Considered soil but not a whole lot to choose from locally (isolated, northern town). Ended up settling on a drain-to-waste system to get some hydro benefits while keeping it simple. Was looking at coco first but perlite is available locally, reusable and I have heard several accounts online of people having successful grows with 100%.
