Lots of growth in last week. Finishing up harvest on last plant. Topped trop glookies. Gorilla girl is on slower side of growth but so was the auto version I am just harvesting.
Lots of growth in last couple weeks. I think I missed a week as I was flat out with work.
Topped Tropicana Glookies. It's definitely showing its saliva side. Very stretchy.
Fimmed Gorilla Girl. It's on slower side like the auto was I just finished. But I expect it will fill out nicely
Set up new sp 3000 so 2 of those for this grow in 5 x 5. Excited to see the results from this. Also put of trellis for screen of green. Week or two will trim and start to train then flip lights.
Big stretch on trop glookies. It's getting tall. Sativa genetics really shows.
Gorilla girl first time I've tried fim. Not sure if what leaves are doing is normal. Noticed lots of spots on lower leaves. Thinking it cal deficiency but also maybe too much N locking some nutes out.
Seeing first sign of pre sex. So can confirm fem and switch to 12 and 12. Planning on giving them another week of veg till both hit screen then train them through the stretch. Worried that Sativa will keep getting taller / trained out while Gorilla girl will stay on shorter side making light distance an issue.
Switched to 12 and 12 today and gave a tarantula flush to both plants. Gonna keep giving grow nutes for base nutes for first 2 to 3 weeks because i use way less of them and both these are long flower. Do lots of training next couple weeks. Trop glookies could be a beast.
I have spots on lower leaves. Already trimmed some off. Thinking it's cal as I'm growing in coco. But as I switched to 12 and 12 could use some advice.
Seem to be mostly on edges and tips of leaves ( where lights hitting ).
To me the damage looks more like the kind of damage that is caused by the leaves hitting the edge of the pot when the fan is blowing on them, particularly at night when the leaves are lowered.
After going through your diary, it seems everything is otherwise looking normal, but very green would be my only comment.
Congratulations on your choice of growing Gorilla Girl, she is one resinous monster when ready, although there seem to be two phenotypes, a more open flower and a more nuggety type, but either way, they both have extreme trichome coverage at maturity and is one of my favourites. The more open type almost needs no trimming as even the fan leaves are practically completely covered with resin, including the stalks!

Started to train the stretch out. Trop glookies is definitely stretching out. Not so much with gorilla girl.
Trimmed some dead leaves and smaller shoots from bottom today. In another week or so will clean up bottoms even more.
Tucking fan leaves as a train so bud sites get light have paths to top.
Lots of stretching this week. I'm a little concerned with the trop glookies as lots of the stems are still skinny looking. But they are still very bendable so hopefully will thicken up more before they start getting woody.
Gorilla girl added alot of leaf this week. It it was looking light on leaf so that's good.
Trimmed some leaf and lower bud sites mid week. Probably do some more next week. But mostly on trop glookies.
Probably stop training now and just let bud sites stretch up. I've got about 2 ft of vertical space left.
Still stretching. Moved lights up a bit for more even coverage.

Been a good week for the girls. Both have slowed down on stretch I think. And also getting more woody stems. Both have lots of crystal forming and bud sites starting to fill out.
Cleaned up some leaf from Both plants.
Busy week for me at work so plants mostly took care of themselves.
Tropicana glookies adding crystal and buds starting to add weight trimmed bottom buds some more this week as well as some top leaves to add airflow and get better light penetration.
Gorilla girl packed on crystal all over. Sugar leaves are Coated and even some fan leaves have good coverage. Adding some more bud sites but they are still small. Hopefully they will put on some weight this week.
Trop glookies is entering final weeks. I think lol. The pistols are turning but they calyx are not swelling yet and they it's starting to spit more pistols. I'm just going from previous experience with other longer flower strains and estimate 2 more weeks till u flush. Trichromes are starting to go cloudy. No Amber's on buds yet.
Gorilla girl. Well there is another story. The buds are still small only about 10 orange hairs. The Gorilla girl auto I just grew went really long and had slow development so I'm hoping that is all that is going on. The Trichromes are just thick on leaves. So there is great potential there. But I'm starting to worry it will be just a bunch popcorn buds.
My gorilla girl has really small buds still at week 7. Are the buds just under taking longer to develop ( long flower time ) ? Is there something I did wrong with plant ( or genetic). Is there anything I can do at this stage to promote bud growth ?
You will see the calyx the part the stamin connect to. Thats the hairs. That will swell it will look like seeds are in there thats at its full potential. Looks like u got a small but tasty one. Remember the bigger the budz the less flavor
Trop glookies is now on late bloom nutes. Started to drop nute strength. Orange hairs telling me it should be close. Trichromes are looking mostly cloudy. Still some either clear or light cloudy. Seen a few Amber's. Expecting to be start flush next week.
Gorilla girl. Seeing some swelling now in buds. Very few orange hairs. Trichromes still mostly clear. Starting to transition to late bloom nutes. Still Expecting 3 to 4 weeks.
Found a nanner on 1 bud on trop glookies. Started to chop. Top buds look good but fluffy. Bottom buds not done with no weight. Was way too leafy. Took the risk and gave it more time now that opened up a bit. No more nanners yet and seems to gaining more weight and finishing lower bud development.
Gorilla girl swelling buds now. Hairs finally turning. Trichromes now getting cloudy with some clusters of amber on top buds. It's on late bloom nutes. Spitting some new white hairs. I'd say 2 weeks will be flushing if not harvesting.
Has to cut early due to a nanner. Wasn't quite ready. I flushed and gave another week with no more nanners popping out.
There is really good color but lots of leaf. Trimming buds has been annoying. Buds cut last week lost alot of size when dried. Hoping ones from this week will have more weight to them. But early cut.
This will be night stuff. Lol. Only really cause I let it go longer. So fair amount of Amber's. I grew the auto version as well it was strong smoke and smooth tast.
Definitely like this strain. Lots of sugar throughout. Leaves especially. I had fan leaves covered half way up with crystal.
This plant was slow to go into flower after switch and had big stretch. If I grow again I will cut back on nitrogen during transition to promote tighter bud development.
Moving through harvest found this was huge producer. Getting lots of buds and great quality shake.
Final weight. 7 ounces dry buds. 6 small bags of shake and shake buds. So good yield.
Advanced nutrients and sensi calmag 🤜🤛 best fertilizer bro. Try using rhino skin too bro. Gets em frosty. It's a trichome producer. And mars hydro is awesome
@Walleyeguy,right on bro. I haven't tried it. I always use promix hp because it's just sphagnum moss and perlite. Almost like coco. No nutrients in it so plants only get what you feed them
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy, coco definitely takes a bit to get used to as it is more of hydroponic set up. But once dialed in I found it produced stellar plants. It's easier to flush. And holds ph better.
@MarijuanaFarmer, it could be alot of things. But as it has only been 1 nanner so far I assume mostly genetic as sativa dominant strain.
It was approaching end ( tops pretty much done starting to see some amber lower could have used another week or so ). So I was trimming top leaves back to open up canopy for better light penetration and cutting back nutes to prepare for flush and harvest planned for next week.
These could have been stressor that " activated " genetic disposition to hermie traits. If the second plant wasn't still 2-4 weeks ( gorilla girl is slow development strain it seems ) from being ready to harvest I would have just let it go. But I can't as if it keeps spitting nanners it could ruin the gorilla girl.
Tropicana glookies really stretched too. And too much leaf development in this grow. When I get around to growing this strain again I will cut down nit. In early bloom and switch sooner so I can spread it out more and reduce leaf growth. Lol.

@northernMike, not yet. Just got boat set up. I started my own company a couple years ago. Took off in last year or so. Making hard to get out. My biggest walleye to date was 76 cm ( 30 inches ). Was a fatty weight was just over 10 lbs. Was like pulling in a log. Lol.

Hi! Nice choice of strain, im currently growing the Gorilla Girl strain in organic living soil to get maximum taste out of my flower. What do you think of growing this strain so far? Has it been without problems or have you encountered some issues with the strain in particular?
