This week went good, she is still stretching and up to 36 inches tall. I switched over to flower nutrients and defoliated a handful of leaves. Just going to sit back and let her stack flowers. This is my first ever manifold so I am interested to see if this method can increase yield and/or decrease trim time. I should know here in a few weeks. Thanks for stopping by and blaze on!
Over an elbo out of an auto ? you killed this one bro. Congrats on a great grow. you kind of busted my bubble a bit though as I literally just ordered some of these beans from FB ( wedding CC , Mimosa cake and orange sherb ) before checking out your diary. Curious what was it that you didn't like about the genetics ? too much fluff and trim ? I have been drooling over some of these FB auto diaries on here and decided to give them a run as soon as my current project wraps up. ( 10 sative dom photos almost ready and another 10-12 hodgepodge of my favs , so got my hands full right now ). Only thing is I live in the deep south and its brutally hot right now and for a couple more months , so I will probably wait until late Aug and then try them both outdoors and in my tent simultaneously to see which does better. what do you think ? will they be able to handle the 90+ deg temps down here ? enough about me though , dude , all of the "experts" that said you couldn't HST an auto , bla bla , you proved that its not only doable , but she thrived on it , that skeleton and root ball were sick. BTW , whatever your riding with your " sled dogs " pulling you looks like an absolute blast man ! Love the way you sneak in your mater pics along the way too. I had a pretty decent crop this year myself , grew the old fav beefsteaks for the table and some cluster hybrids for canning. Rock on Bro !
@Tweezer, Oh , its an absolute must here because along with the heat and humidity comes the dreaded "B" word (not going to type it out and jinx myself LOL ) , I've never had many insect problems outdoors or in here other than the nuisance ones like grasshoppers, etc but the mold is killer on anything with thick buds. Those 3 were the most sativa dom that I saw in their collection that looked like good producers also , so I will give me a try when the weather breaks. One nice thing is that I can pretty much grow year round in and out here.
@Mrgreengenes, Hey brother, Fastbuds genetics aren't bad, I am just always looking for something better, and I am compiling a list of Autoflowers that are Manifold-Friendly....The yield on the Wedding Cheesecake was very good, and the buds taste great and are pretty high in THC. My only complaint was that she produced approximately 32 long and slender colas, as opposed to the Acid Dough Auto which produced 8 Fat ass colas, so the trimming time was so easy and fast with the Acid Dough. I shouldn't be complaining about having to trim a pound of bud from an auto, but I am very impatient and I get tired of trimming after about an hour or two. I would say if you want to run some autos in those temps, I would definitely go for a Sativa dominant strain that is built for the heat. Good luck with your outdoor run, I will check it out! ๐ช
Nice plant but wet weight is not the final harvest. They just removed a guy yesterday doing same thing. I would dry it and post your weight. With it being airy, leaves, and massive stems, it won't be a lb. 75 percent of plant is water then take the junk out. Deceptive behavior will backfire. Heads up๐
@Roberts, I appreciate the concern brother!! She weighed in wet/trimmed at just over 80 zips and then dried to 16.72 zips, so yeah i lost about 80% to water and stems. I will update later today after our baseball tournament and post pics/videos/dry weights. Have a great rest of your weekend brother!
@Crawlndog, Much appreciated, still trying to improve each time, but fairly happy with this one, other than the trim time....Best luck with your Spicy Bitch!!
Wow man, she really turned out nice.๐Great yield. Nice, and frosty. Can't beat that.๐ Tomatoes beefy too, and videos off the hook.๐ Great grow man!๐ Enjoy!โบ๏ธ๐จ๐จ
@Nordynllc, She was a bitch to trim, but she was a great yield. I am constantly trying to tweak things and get better each run....thank you for the compliment โบ๏ธ
@Nordynllc, Thank you, I typically feed my autos veg nutes into week 7, and then transition to flowering nutes as soon as she stops stretching, which is usually around day 40-50 but varies slightly depending on the genetics/phenotype/conditions. I hope all your grows are strong and fast!
Nice. How has your experience been with transplanting autos? I'm a first time grower and am keeping it simple for now. But I like the idea of transplanting.
@1trkmind, Hey now, so the reason I transplant is that I have found that planting a seed in a huge container causes the roots to grow straight down to the bottom of the container instead of balling out and filling the container with a giant mass of roots. I am still working on perfecting days 3-17 but I'm almost there! Best luck for strong and fast grows and thanks for stopping by!!!
@Eauderay, Hey now! I always heard the same thing that Autos have lower THC content, can only yield about 8 Ounces, etc, etc, etc.....I don't have a THC testing kit, but I can tell you that everyone that has smoked my autos, agree they are on par or better than our local dispensaries here in the US....(which honestly isn't saying much) however I am also yielding close to 25% when pressing rosin, so while I do believe I have much room for improvement, I don't really buy into the lower THC thing anymore, but that's just my opinion. Enjoy your Critical Zambeza Harvest, she looks frosty as fuck!!!! ๐ช
@Tweezer, I think you would have a massive central cola touching your lights and probably light bleaching many top fan leaves, and also buds much more airy and smaller due to stress and shadow from main colas?๐ต
I think you have done a great job at getting the best quality buds possible from her indoor in a tent but maybe stressing her resulted in smaller wispy buds too.?
Difficult to tell
Autos are a gamble to grow indoor with limited space!
I do not grow autos anymore, not stable and I feel Thc concentration lower.... They say 19% but it is a mean.... Thc really is at 10% to max 20, and sometime CBD higher and little Thc...
I will grow regular autos again if I grow outdoor,
they were made for that , make our own inbreeding and selection for our local crappy North European environment. Lol๐๐
