The larger plant was actually planted 2 days after the smaller one. Looking back, it looks like I overwatered the smaller one. This is my first grow so still feeling everything out. The plant on the left, the smaller one - will be referred to as #1. The larger plant on the right will be referred to as #2 Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil 3 gallon fabric pots Arrowhead bottled water Custom built grow box roughly 24"x24"x48"

#1 (the smaller one on the left) is finally starting to grow after a few days of little to no growth and light green color. I think it was overwatered, so a good dry period and light watering perked her up. #2 (the larger one on the right) is starting to stack nodes quickly!

Started LST on #2, just tying down the top cola towards the side of the pot. Also used sticks to tuck fan leaves and expose new growth. The stem on #1 was a little flimsy so I tied some string up around it to help it stay upright.

Plant #2 started showing pistils, and began to stretch as the week progressed. Responding great to the little amount of LST i've done Plant #1 is a about a week behind it seems. Started to LST now that the stem has thickened, so lets see how it responds

Bud sites are appearing on #2. She is stretching nicely. #1 has started to stretch out as well. Not nearly as many bud sites it seems, but just happy its growing!

Fed with a Dr Earth Flower Girl Bud and Bloom Booster tea. It doesn't smell too great - but its fertilizer so what do you expect. I may have been overwatering in the previous weeks. It seems my soil is a bit compacted and my leaves are starting to droop. I'm aerating the soil with a chopstick-like stick and driving holes through to soil to try and get some oxygen to the roots. #2 bud sites are getting HAIRY

Buds are swelling, #2 has some nice purple tones while #1 is much leafier, but looks like the primary cola on that one is getting pretty chunky. Continuing with just water, and then molasses every few feedings. Smell is very strong, starting to stink up my garage and creep into the house. But who's complaining? :)

Welcome to week 10 - harvest is getting close! #2 is fading quickly, possible due to some overwatering - I am still a rookie obviously. Starting to see some amber trichomes on both plants. Thinking of chopping them next weekend! Loving the color of these buds

Just chopped last night. About 8oz wet weight. Did a good amount of wet trimming, will do a final manicure once it is dried. This grow has been an absolute blast - the girls were good to me and didn't give me much trouble. I am a man of variety, so I always try new things - so not sure if i will grow it again but if I had to, I wouldn't be mad at all :) Smoked some scissor hash it is sure was tasty! and strong - got me feeling reallllllly nice. Will update in a week or so when it is dried to report on the dry weight. And then some time after that I will report on the smoke once it cures :) UPDATE POST HAND DRY: The plants hung for 6 days, and have now moved into the jars. Dry weight of exactly 2oz. 51g buds, 5g trim. I had no idea that cannabis loses its smell a bit as it dries - so i got super worried at first, only to realize this is normal and the beautiful smell returned shortly. Will continue to update after curing for a taste/effect review. UPDATE ~ 1.5 Weeks into cure: Looking back it think I did too much dry trimming. It had been cold at that time, and I was paranoid about mold. It dried quite quickly, and I might have been out a day too long. I was aiming to get them in jars and have it sit at about 60-65% humidity - but when they went into the jars it never went higher than 54% and kind of settled down at 48%. But the buds aren't crispy by any means, so maybe my humidity meter was off. They do seem a little too dry though - and the buds are definitely quite airy. My grow light is pretty small, so I'm not expecting super dense buds. From what I've read, I'm worried they might have over-dried past the point of "curing"? Or maybe I'm reading too much into this, idk. This is all a learning process and I'm enjoying it regardless. It was my first grow so I definitely have room for improvement within my current setup. I couldn't wait to try it so I've been sampling throughout the curing process. The flavor and scent profiles are definitely changing, and for the better - but it doesn't have that same "dank" smell it had when she was a living plant. Not sure if that's normal, but probably just didn't have the best drying process. Obviously this early, I'm not expecting amazing taste and smell, so let's see how some more time does. I will say it gets me stoned, for sure haha. It's got a nice dark green, purple color too it with a decent amount of thichomes visible. Honestly, the smaller plant (#1) that I stunted early on has a better scent/taste already, versus #2 that looked so good. Not saying #2 is a bust at all either. It has this earthy, almost cheesy flavor profile. Interesting. Back to the effect - it worked to the point where I feel laser-focused writing this update haha. It definitely has a hybrid effect, with a nice euphoric uplift, while helping me relax and ease tension. I'll try to keep updating this as it cures!
