Started using Coco Loco medium this grow, so I felt like I wouldn’t need to add nutrients for a week or two after germ. The pineapple muffins ended up looking hungry but the Zkittlez looked fine.
Bought an aeroponic cloner this week. Topped the 3 girls and threw the cut mains in the aeroponic cloner. Results to follow (great success). Jumped up to the full recommended dosage of nutes for GH 3 part this week, also added a silica source.
Last week before flip. Topped the two pineapple muffins twice more each and threw the resulting four branches in the cloner. The gorilla zkittlez has shown the most interesting growth so far. Didn’t top it again because the node spacing was super tight. This plant is probably the most stocky and bushy thing I’ve ever seen in my life. An interesting difference from the pineapple muffins, which side branches like absolute crazy and grows like a weed. The gorilla zkittlez just wants to be a happy bush with just 6 crazy thick branches. Going to be interesting to see how it flowers.
Week one of flower. As the first week went on the pineapple muffins continued to do what it do and just shit side branches everywhere. Zkittlez remained stubby and thicc. I attempted to tie down the six main branches on the Zkittlez but I don’t think it did much at this point. Might look to try again as the plant stretches later in flower. Plants are sharing a room with a massive Sugarcane plant in a ten gallon pot.
Stretch started going strong this week. Plants put on probably close to 9 inches of height. The girls also got a new friend in a headband plant I put in to flower this week
The pineapple muffins really packed on some size on the buds this week and appear to be done stretching. The gorilla zkittlez just looks like it wants to stay super short. Defoliated her a lot to open up the lower bud sites to light. I get the feeling the zkittlez is going to have a lot longer flowering period than the muffins. But that’s fine, the three plants in this journal are now in the company of four other plants of various strains in the flower room.
Hard to believe the pineapple muffins is half way done at this point. The buds look and smell amazing, brush one branch and you instantly smell the pineapple. The gorilla zkittlez is clearly done adding height and is focused on bud production now. She also isn’t nearly as stanky as the muffins but still looks good and healthy. Overall very satisfied so far.
Just another easy cruising week. No deficiencies and no issues. Pretty much just waiting for my cue to start the flush. I’m thinking when I see the leaves starting to turn purple on the muffins I’ll start the flush. For the zkittlez I’m not sure. Probably gonna let her go a while, not many brown hairs yet.
Started flushing the pineapple muffins at the end of this week. Probably around nine days until harvest on those girls. The gorilla zkittlez easily could have another month of flower left in her. I’m in no rush to stop her from doing what she’s doing. She’s short and weird but the nugs seem super dense and tightly packed. She’s also extremely frosty and is already producing a lot of resin.
Only got about halfway into this week before the cut. Should be dried and ready by early next week for a run up of the numbers. The bud is definitely frosty and dank. Can’t wait to smoke it.
These plants were the first of many more to come. I’m very satisfied with 3 ounces per plant in 3 gallon pots. Hopefully with training we can get upwards of 4 ounces per plant in 4 gals.
