My first indoor grow try was an Auto Amnesia Haze, which had to be scrapped due to fatal mistakes made by me. Well, I am not going to do those mistakes again this time. It was mainly due to a bad choice of soil and overwatering, so even if I didn't drench her, she was totally stunted and pretty much totally stopped growing. So, here we go again. It took a little under 24 hours before the taproot started to protrude.

This time I got a new soil mix that has better drainage and overall better soil consistency. PH-checked and got a good base fertilizer, which is probably enough for this plants whole life, but will give some support nutrients every once in a while, when needed. That's the plan. Peat based soil Rock dust Composted cow manure Cal-mag Lime Perlite Vermiculite LECA-clay pebbles --- After two days in the soil, I started to see the neck protrude through the soil. On the third day in the soil, she was completely up and looking mighty fine. --- I am just using a spray bottle to spray down on the soil around the plant a couple of times a day. The plan is to keep on doing that, and widen the circle as the plant grows taller. Paying close attention to not overwater this girl. Day 3-6 Looking good. Conditions stable where they are. Not doing much, just watering small amounts couple of times a day. On day 5 I lowered the light from 50 to 40 cm from the plant, thinking it was beginning to stretch a bit much.

She's doing fine and growing quite a bit every day now. Increased watering slightly to about 0.15l/day.

Started to notice first a darker shade of green, almost purple, mostly prominent on one of the older leaves. The day after it started to yellow around that same area. I put a Q out here and got magnesium deficiency as a plausibility. My soil has cal-mag and rock dust added with a magnesium content of 154mg/l, which may or may not be enough. If not it must be a question of lock-out. If so I am not sure what causes it. PH should be between 5.5-6.5, maybe if it's on the lower end of that magnesium uptake is minimal. Anyway, I didn't have any cal-mag or Epsom salt at home, but I ordered some Epsom salt and thinking the plan will be to apply a foliar spray of Epsom salt and see what happens. Not sure how often I should apply that? Once, maybe twice a week? Otherwise, growth is going good and she's growing quite well, although I noticed that even some of the newer growth also starting to yellow a little bit, with is bothersome, indeed. Day 20, applied som Epsom foliar today, and gave her a first proper watering. Started to see quite a few pistils today.

Started to notice som darker hues of green on the leaves, mostly one. Today it had started to change to a brighter green. I don't know, maybe it is just adjusting to the soil environment as it is starting to take off, and not much to worry about?

Thanks for the replies, guys. It sure does look like it. I have cal-mag added to my soil at 1kg/m3, magnesium 154mg/l. That should give me a moderate Mg level, from what I gather. But Cannabis seems to be a heavy Mg feeder, so maybe just needs more. I guess it could also be due to a problem accessing the Mg in the soil. humidity is stable around 50RH and temps never go under 18c. PH might be too low? My soil is supposed to be at 5.5-6.5, growing organic so figured it should stabilize itself. Thinking of giving some foliar spray with epsom salt. What do you think?

This is a magnesium deficiency in its beginning stages. the light green or yellow coloring will begin to show on the veins and edges of the lower & older leaves – this is one of the classic signs of magnesium deficiency. You may also see red stems. Magnesium is a mobile nutrient, which means that the plant can move it from old leaves to new leaves. If you don’t react to it promptly, a magnesium deficiency can spiral out of control and cause your plant to lose a lot of lower leaves quickly. The plant will pull magnesium out of older leaves and bring them to the newer leaves. That’s why a magnesium deficiency usually appears towards the bottom of the plant and on older, less important leaves.

Hey there , that looks like magnesium deficiency based on the yellowing between the veins starting at the base of the leaf affecting the new growth first. It’s probably just adjusting like you said , but you can add cal mag or even make a spray. The problem should stop spreading once you feed calmag and the plant should fully recover quite quickly. Hope this helps !

I guess she entered pre-flowering, since she started to show sex already on day 20. The yellow spots on the leaves started to show a bit more on new growth, but not so much. All the new growth is really lime green though, but it seems to get darker after a while. I guess it's cus of the light, and I moved the light up 10 centimeters for a week or so, but now I put it back down again to recommended height, which is 50 cm at this point. Didn't see any change with the light higher. Started some LST. She is extremely short and bushy. Only about 10 cm when started LST and internodal space is very short. She hasn't really been gaining much height last few days, but the side shoots are growing quite good after getting some more light. Giving her a couple of Epsom showers, and also started to water 500 ml every 4 days. Gave her a nutrient boost with some golden water and molasses.

This WWA was extremely short and bushy, only about 10 cm on day 20. I went ahead with some LST anyway to open her up to the light. Time flies and it feels like she's still growing slowly... I am wondering if I am tying her down too much, and when should I stop?

Yeah, in hindsight I guess I was a little trigger itchy on trying out that LST, even though she sure was small. Too small even for best results obviously.

Harvest closing in. Trichomes still all clear though, but less white hairs coming and bud structure changing.
