My attentions are to produce a nice plant to place outdoors in June. I used the Crop King suggested method for germination as that method has worked for me for the past 3 CBDream seeds. Soaked seed in water for 24 hours. Moved seed to wet paper towel in a warm dark cupboard. Seed cracked in two days, then was moved to damp potting soil. March 7 the seed leaves appeared.

Plant was in bathroom enjoying the heat provided by an electric heater. The heater was there to keep room temperature high to help the enamel paint I had put on bath tub cure. I placed my small LED light beside the baby plant on the south facing window sill. Plant seems to like the conditions as it has grow the second set of true leaves. Just giving it small drops of water.

Just a drop of Schultz Liquid Plant Food 10-15-10, because I saw a circle of yellow on one of the leaves. This week plant had grown third set of leaves. Sun light and the small LED seems to be providing enough light as this plant is growing faster than any of my previous attempts. Just a small amount of water provided to keep soil from drying out.

Plant moved to a closet with lamp, heater and seeded pot and flower garden seeds. Removed the heater when I realized it was not turning on, because the LED lamp was keeping the closet at a steady 26 degrees C. Now using my Ktaxon LED Grow Light 600w Double Chips Full Specturm Lamp Kit. Note that lower leaves have signs of over watering. Yes I have a problem of over watering that I have not been able to correct. Hopefully putting the plant in a spot, where I can not see it will help me squash the temptation of watering it. Schultz Liquid Plant Food 10-15-10 used again this week. Just 7 drops in a liter of water.

The oldest leaves are showing the symptoms that something is wrong. To many possibilities: To much water, possible as I have a problem with overwatering; To much nutrients, more likely as I was using some fertilizer when I watered. But which nutrient is the problem? What I have done so far this week is to stop the Schultz Liquid Plant Food 10-15-10. Also I transplanted into 5 liter bucket. I was surprised how much the roots have grown., almost root bound. The bottom soil and roots were dry. I actually felt proud of myself that it was not wet from overwatering. Silly girl. The top of the plant is growing very well, nice green leaves and showing good adaptation after being topped. The only water this week was what I had put in the dry soil mixture (Miracle Grow Potting Soil) when repotting. The Miracle Grow mix has some nutrients added, so I will not be adding any fertilizer for awhile.

A diagnosis is needed. Could the Schultz Liquid Plant Food 10-15-10 be to strong for Phosphorus? 5 weeks old, transplanted into 5 liter container this week. Stopped giving nutrients last week.

Try to cut back on your feed, the outdoor picture also... You said it’s been raining and getting a lot of water! Did you feed when it was already wet? Cause this can cause issues in the Rhizosphere/ roots lol Yeah it’ll burn them! So that discoloration is your plant telling you hold up let me correct what’s going on! You think somethings wrong so you try to fix it and make it worse! Trust me it happens to the best of us! Just cut back is all great job too! Also before I forget smoking and writing can affect lots lol... Yeah so add Calcium in the morning and at night! Calcium is crucial for cell division! Take care and happy growing!

The nutrient problem has not spread to any other leaves. It seems stopping the 'Schultz Liquid Plant Food' was the right decision. I topped 8 growing points, that should give me 16 branches in the near future. Plant has been enjoying the much larger pot.

I tied down some of the branches and plant grew another inch taller. It is getting to feel more like summer outside, but the nights are still very cool. Way to cold at night yet for putting the plant outside, most nights are only 1 to 3 degrees Celcus. The traditional risk of frost extends until June 15, in my area of Atlantic Canada.

I noticed a lower leaf that had begun to yellow between the veins (see photo) and used 'The Cannabis Grow Bible' to find a cause. Nitrogen deficiency was the diagnosis. Which makes sense as I have not been adding any nutrients since repotting into Miracle Grow which has some added nutrients in the mix. Plant did not grow any taller this week, likely for the need of some nutrients. except for the fan all was quiet in the grow closet.

Plant grew 2 inches taller this week because of me adding the Advanced Nutrients. Yesterday, I did a little topping and lollipoping. June 1, starting the process of toughening up the plant for going outside for the summer. Laptop died so I can not add pictures until its replacement arrives. New laptop received, photos updated.

Moved plant outdoors on June 11. As you can see, it is well protected from the wind. The old windows will be removed in a few days. The ground is very dry, because it has not rained in a week. I have watered deeply the last 2 days.

The abnormally high temperature days of last week changed into abnormally low temperatures, rain and wind. I am sure I am depressed about the darkness. I WANT sunlight. One night it was as cold as 8C. Most days it was about 18C. It has rained everyday for the past 5. Today it is only 16C with heavy rain and strong winds. When I got up this morning and looked out at the plant being crashed around in the wind, I had to go right out (even before coffee!) and put window protection on the north side of the plant. It rained so much this week the ground had no change to dry enough for me to give water soluble nutrients. Just 7 liters of 2ml/l solution.

Made it through another cool and rainy week, which included a hurricane downpour. Plant grew 2 inches in height and bulked up nicely. As you can see from the photo, I trimmed off some of the fan leaves and tied down branches to let more light onto the interior of the plant. Average temperature at night was 11C. I had the plant well protected from the wind and heavy rain thanks to the hurricane . Most of its original strength had dissipated by the time it reached Atlantic Canada.

A lot of rain this week, so I could not water very much. On 2 days, the top of the ground was dry. Spent a hour one day removing some lower leaves and bud sights from upper branches. That helped get sunshine to centre of plant. Plant looks healthy with only the occasional yellow leaf near the bottom. I hope the rainy season we are having lately dries up soon. July this year is nothing like last year's drought. I carried much more water last year compared to this July.

Another rainy week meant I only had 2 days in which I could add water soluble nutrients. I included some Cal-Mag as a first time experiment. As my well water is a PH of 7 and the Advanced Nutrients PH perfect do not add any acidity to my garden soil, my garden soil measures a consistent PH of 7. I also tried Root Farm PH Down. Frustrated that there were no instruction on the bottle other than volume of water, initial PH measurement of water, amount of medium (soil) and PH of medium all determine the amount of PH Down to be used. So I searched for suggestions for product use on their Root Farm website found nothing helpful. So I guessed. Shortly after watering the plant with nutrients, I got a PH measurement of 6.6. No harm done and I made an improvement towards the ideal of 6.5. Plant increased in height and width this week. I spent time removing leaves and bud sites on lower side branches. Plant remains very bushy on the ends of all the branches. I am getting excited that I may get to 5 feet in height like 2 years ago.

Another rainy week. Watered with a total of 12 liters nutrient solution this week. Before watering I tested soil PH under this plant and got a reading of PH 7. After watering with 6 liters that contained 5 ml of PH down and waiting a few minutes, I got a reading of 6.3. There is another month to wait till the daylight hours reach 12 hours.

It was a week of sunshine and higher than normal temperatures. The good news is I was able to give plants an extra watering with nutrients. The soil had its first chance to dry out in several weeks. I spent 1 1/2 hours picking off leaves and the small bud sights from the branches. Thus leaving the leaves on the outer 12 inches of each branch alone. The sun light had little chance of making it through the dense foliage any way. By today, the plant hardly looks like it was touched. The outer leaves took full advantage of filling in any opening I had made.

Little rain this week, so the plant had more access to nutrients with the 24 liters of water. I decided to begin covering the plant in early evening and to uncover in morning well after sunrise. Normally the daylight hours are not at 12 hours till about September 15. Weather here gets quite cold in October, lots of freezing temperatures, not a good time for flowering plants. In fact not uncommon to have frost around September. Maybe global warming will help. Set up an umbrella to use as a support for tarps. Plant has reached 5 feet, 1.524 meters. I noticed some strangely coloured leaves on the north side of the plant. I need to find a solution for this.

Hot, Hot week, some days I just had to spend some of the afternoons inside, humidity a killer and the feels like temperatures in the upper 30s celcus. In the quest to get plant to flower, you well see I started with umbrella stand as a support base. Then I added tarp on west and north fence. The support ropes made themselves useful holding up a tarp roof and another tarp around the sides. Tarps on at about 7 pm and off around 9 am. I am retired, which equals no set schedule. Umbrella cover soon removed as just being in the way. Some well water given without nutrients to compensate for 1 rain event this week. 4.28 liter daily average of water with nutrients given. Those strange coloured leaves have disappeared. Spent 2 hours removing little branches that had not reached the exterior of the plant. I figure if they can't reach the light, then they are unlikely to produce good buds. With the large number of branches this plant has produced, I expect lots of bud sights on the ones that are reaching the sun.

Now that the plant is on second week of flowering and the dawn to dusk time is at 12 1/2 hours, I feel I can get away with removing the tarps. This year I do not think the tarps made much difference, yes the plant immediately went into flower but my tarps were not great at cutting out all the light. Next year I will get better light blocking tarps. Watered with nutrients 4 times this week. Today I tested out how much the PH Down solution was having an affect on the soil acidity. Test before the application with nutrients was at 7. 20 minutes after application the soil tested at 6.4. So the use of the product will make a temporary change to the soil. Tomorrow the soil will be at 7 again. Today I tied down more of the lower branches to allow more light into the canopy of leaves. After that job the plant is now 71 inches in width.

Beautiful fall temperatures with lots of sunshine, the plants enjoyed the great growing conditions. Buds are growing larger. I did run out of all my Advanced Nutrients. I just have the CalMag left. So what might the plant need to finish? I gave it a shot of Miracle-Gro 24-8-16 to be sure that there is adequate nitrogen for the plant's final push to the finish. There should be no need for me to try to flush nutrients from the soil in 2 weeks in this manner. I will naturally supply any needed water. Such as I did this week during the nice dry days. But it rains heavily today and the forecast for the next few days looks grey. I have had another session of picking off the larger leaves.

It rained and rained. I worried about mold and bud rot. Looks good so far. I put umbrella up to protect plant as much as possible from the rain and heavy morning dew. I added a bit of plastic over to the fence to protect a bit more of the canopy. I should grow smaller plants. One night at near frost temperatures, so I covered plant with tarp and blankets.

Beautiful sunny and warm days and frosty nights. I covered the plant each night. 2 of the nights resulted in frost. Watered 4 of the days. Delighted to have a dry week to keep any mold away. I will be starting a slow harvest as I like to wet trim. The growdiaries app will not let me and another flowering week, so I will and a week 32 here. This week had plenty of cloudy days with a little rain. Yes, I am still covering the plant on the colder nights. I began to gather branches and start the wet trim. This week I spent 26 hours this week trimming by dividing bud from sugar leaves and tiny buds. Week 33 , October 21 Trimming is finally done with another 20 hours of trimming. My hands are tired and I will take a break for a few days before trimming another plant of a different strain.

Started plant indoors as short growing season here in Atlantic Canada. A big healthy transplant made for a very large plant for outdoor grow. 😀 There were many times I wished it was smaller as I was caring for it. I read in book "Cannabis Pharmacy" that CBD plants produce more CBD and terpenoids if they receive real sunshine. Perhaps I am doing something right by growing outdoors.
