*Week 1 was very ideal. This plant is growing pretty healthy and seems to be right on track. *
Day 8 - On Day 8, disaster struck. My dumb self left the plant out of its 'cage' for 5 minutes, and in that time my husky puppy decided to do a little gardening, in the form of pulling the plant out of the soil. I walked out to find it on the ground next to the pot, roots and all in direct sunlight. After a hurried transplant back into the soil and a deep watering, I thought the plant was done-zo.
Day 10 - Here we are, two days later and the little-Hindu-that-could seems to still be surviving. The second set of leaves is slowly but surely getting bigger and it's still upright. If that aint a hardy strain, Im not sure what is. Unfortunately, one of the first leaves was lost.
Day 11 - Worked in about a 1/8th cup of vermiculite into the top layer of soil. Still haven't watered since Day 8. Good sun today, second leaf set growing. H: 61 L: n/a
This week has some great, ideal weather coming. Highs are mostly in the 70s, and Ill be leaving this plant outside overnight for the first time this week. Most likely day 18 or 19.
Day 16 - The second leaf set is finally showing its 'fingers' and I can see the third set starting. Steady as she grows.
Day 19 - Gave a good deep watering, now for a few days of drying out. She's hanging outside at night now, getting about 10.5 hours of daylight. Starting to get a bit taller.
Day 24 - Growth is really speeding up now, third leaf set is developing fast. Early last week I worked in some blood meal (nitrogen) into the soil to help the plant along during the later stages of veg. I think it helped. As soon as I see strong evidence of flowering, I will do a good flush and then start feeding Fox Farm Tiger Bloom at 1/2 strength every other watering.
We are getting an early heat wave, and some days this week will reach as hot as 88 or 89 degrees. I will likely have to move plants into the shade from 2-4 pm to avoid heat stresses. Looks like its only for a few days, but this pure indica has genetics in mountainous regions, so upper 80s is probably when yellow flags will come up. Otherwise, steady as she grows there bud!
(Im not sure why GrowDiaries wont update it, but its a 3.5 gal pot and nightly low temps are 45)
Day 26 - Fourth leaf set is developing. Warm days are here, upper 80s for today thru Day 28. After the heat spell fades away, Ill be hitting it with some Tiger Bloom.

Getting into Week 5 now, weather and conditions look great: high 70s, sunshine and consistency which is all welcome after a near record-breaking heat spell. Compared to my previous GC Hindu grows, this plant is much behind schedule in terms of size/branching but I'm just glad it's still alive after being ripped out and transplanted. I will hold off on the flowering nutes until I see white pistils, so far we are still much in veg.
Day 31 - Starting the pre-flower stretch. Yesterday I worked 1/4 cup of used coffee grounds into the soil, to help maintain low pH and add trace nutrients. Tomorrow, I will add about a 1/2 cup of screened steer manure blend compost and work it into the top layer of soil. I'm hoping that will be enough nutrients to get me to where I start noticing the pistils. From there its Tiger Bloom.
Day 32 - Picked up a bottle of Dr. Earth 3-2-2 Liquid Fert. and gave this plant a dose today. As recommended, 4 pumps of fertilizer per 1/2 gallon of water. Gave this plant about 4 oz of fertilizer solution and then 500mL of water. Fourth leaf set is developing well.

Day 39 - From my previous experience with this strain and breeder, we should start to see the white hairs that indicate sex/flowering pretty soon. Generally around Day 40-45 is when they appear, as of today no sign yet.
The fertilizer I gave it in week 5 seemed to do the trick and everything looks pretty healthy. Weather this week is ideal, next week not so much.

Week 7 - During week 7, we had some warm sunny weather with highs mostly in the low 80s and abundant sunshine. Some of the days even reached close to 90, so I pulled them into the deep shade of a redwood to 'cool off' for 2 hours during the peak hours. I have been continuing once a week with about 8oz of 3-2-2 general fertilizer, followed by 16 oz of pure water. After 48-72 hours (temperature depending) I give it a solid flush with about a 1/2 gal of water. This little Hindu is just over a foot tall, and towards the end of week 7 started flowering. Noticed the white pistils around day 47. I have been experiencing some slight damage in the leaves from grasshoppers, but not to an extent that I'm worried. Am considering some neem oil spray to rectify this.
Week 8 has us totally into flower, with pistils showing up everywhere and the basis of bud production getting started. She's about 15 inches tall now, and that is most likely the tallest it will be, but not bad for a plant that lost a week due to transplant shock in Week 2. I have my 'weak' flower nutrient solution: 1 tsp of Tiger Bloom in 1/2 gal of water. Will be giving this plant about 10 oz of that solution with some water. Next week I will give the same amount, but it will be 1.5 tsp in a 1/2 gal of water (full recommended strength). Now that flower has started, I want to give the plant only enough to get by. The stems are starting to give off a spicy, sweet aroma. I am anticipating harvesting this plant in late Week 11 or 12.
She's looking pretty good, although the growth is slow you can't always force nature. Hoping to be able to harvest at the end of Week 11 or 12, but we'll see. So far, the buds have been developing and starting to fill in. I'm giving Tiger Bloom now at full strength once a week. The plant overall is starting to give off a nice aroma, spicy and earthy. I'm having some trouble with some sort of pest eating at the leaves, so at the end of last week I sprayed them with neem oil. Seemed to do the trick, and I most likely wont apply it from here on out. Unfortunately we have just started May and where I live is already reaching into the 90s every day with some even closer to 100 degrees. Me and the girls do not like the heat, because with heat comes humidity here. Hopefully it stays mild throughout May because I have 2 more plants behind this one.
