Here we are again with one of my favorite Royal Queen Seeds strains, Green Gelato Automatic! The seed was planted directly in the substrate and germinated in 48h, unfortunately when one of the cotyledons opened it broke and the other turned black, the little one seemed almost dead, but I decided to leave it and in fact after 5 days it started putting the first leaves;)
It will be my lucky little one ❤️
Last summer I had the opportunity to test the Green Gelato and it immediately became one of my favorites, I can't wait to be able to savor a few more puffs
Here we are with a new week for my lucky Green Gelato! As you can see from the last photo she is far behind her sister who was planted on the same day, but I decided to make her diary anyway because I hope she will recover 😇
This week she was transplanted into her final home kindly sent to me by Royal Queen Seeds, I love their fabric pots !! They are hardy, spacious and drain perfectly :)
Before transplanting I mixed 60g of Easy Boost Organic Nutrition from RQS with the soil, I'm curious to see how it will behave. Let's hope well for this little girl 🤞🤞
I'm starting to think that little Green Gelato is actually not so lucky so I decided to add her sister too, also because it's fun to show you the differences between the two born on the same day.
Green Gelato#1 lost her cotyledons when she was born and took two weeks to recover. Although she is at the end of her third week of life, she is very far from her sister.
Green Gelato#2, on the other hand, grew up healthy, strong and vigorous from the start. I love how it is growing and how the branches are developing and I really like the shape it is taking. It's amazing to see how a little damage in the first few days of life can lead to all this difference in growth (and certainly in the harvest).
See you next week for more updates!
Happy Easter everyone!
By now there is a huge difference between the two Green Gelato, as well is evident that the growth of the smaller one is compromised. Today I moved Green Gelato#1 to the garden and I'll let her do her thing, we'll see what comes out! This teaches that it must always be careful and caring with seedlings. 😤
Now let's move on to Green Gelato#2, I love it! Stretch is over, and every day I see new white hairs appearing. This is one of my two favorite strains from RQS, I have indelible memories of smoking her last summer and can't wait to do it again! The structure of the plant is good and it stayed quite short, which is great for me. From this week GG#2 will benefit from the new Spider Farmer led, which I hope will help during flowering.
That's it for this week, have a nice weekend! 😘
All in bloom for my Green Gelato#2! It is a joy for the eyes 😍 Unfortunately she has some nutrient burn marks (my fault!) But I'm fixing it (she has the same feeding as the Big Devil)
So many trichomes appeared and there is a slight smell of good in the air 😉😉 Green Gelato#1 has not grown much, the first two pistils have appeared and everything is going calmly. We will see next week!
Unfortunately, some problems have arisen this week. Within three days, almost all the leaves of Green Gelato#2 have turned yellow. I was quite scared at first, never having been faced with such a situation and I had to act quickly without knowing what was causing the problem. I immediately thought of an N deficiency, but it was difficult as she follows a good diet. After some research I thought about a nutrient lockout, so I decided to wash the roots and add some CalMag to the next watering. The progress of the yellow, fortunately, seems to have stopped, thank goodness! 😇🙏
Despite the problems, the plant has continued to develop bud sites and is gaining weight by becoming fuller and with a rounded main cola. I love this lady, she's small and compact, she smells likes heaven and for a moment I was terrified of losing it. Hope I've did the right thing. 😅
See you next week if I won't make more disasters 😁
Hello everyone! This week has passed quickly and the Green Gelato Auto looks like she really wants to be harvested! The buds are pretty dense and ripe, although many pistils are still white some trichomes have started to turn amber, as you can see from the close up photo. I don't tell you how wonderful it is to wake up in the morning with the scent of this beauty! Now there is little to do, in the next few days I will wash the roots and we will prepare for the harvest!
Last week for my sweet Green Gelato Auto!
The leaves are now all yellow and the scent of ripe buds fills the nostrils every time you open the door of the room. In the next two days she will be cut and dried. I love this baby even though she stayed small, she produced super thick and sticky buds, can't wait to put her in the jar!😍
Harvested on day 63.
Dried for 8 days then cured for a month before first test.
🌱 Green Gelato Auto is a plant suitable for beginners, very easy to grow. Last year I tested her outdoors as the last cycle of the year and it performed well even in colder temperatures, while this year it was also a pleasure to grow in a controlled environment. Suitable for anyone, even first experiences, plants tend not to grow too tall and remain compact.
🌸 I love the tops of Green Gelato! They are extremely compact and resinous with a strong and sweet smell that releases into the room every time the jar is opened! Last year I had not treated it well and I had not been able to fully appreciate the fantastic terpenes
👅 Each hit is a wave of flavor and sweetness that will make each smoke truly enjoyable and tasty, without weighing down the lungs. She is so good that
you would light one joint after another! It is really worth keeping it at least a month in the jar, I finally appreciated its true flavor fully.
🧠 Green Gelato Auto outperforms many photoperiodics in terms of power. Each puff will blow your mind and send you to a jelly-like world of happiness! It is the strongest autoflower I have tasted so far, it is really worth trying it at least once, whether in the company of friends for long, laughter-filled speeches, or to relax before bed. Good with anxiety.
⚖️ The yield of Green Gelato Auto is medium, but of a crazy quality with rock hard buds.
Definitely a 10/10, one of the best autoflowers ever tasted with the power of a photoperiod, truly an exceptional weed that I would always like to have in my grow!
Thanks RQS for this amazing strain 🙏
Interesting grow!
I run these genes 3 times so far, I love green gelato!
I was also using the Easy boost pallets from RQS. The highest dose I gave them was 40g in a 10l pot and they got a bit burned in week 3-4, but they jumped right back after that and developed amazingly.
Good luck with your grow! 🍀
@HirdoWeirdo,
The little one looks healthy and not yet into bloom, so Yes, I believe she can still make it.
It depends a lot on your climate, if you can place it in a green house it might help a bit.
I once experienced an auto turn photoperiod because of stress.
Good luck with her! ☀️
@Green_Dream, I think I exaggerated with the doses then! Thanks for the advice! Green Gelato is also one of my favorite rqs strains ❤️ Do you think the little one I put outdoor has any hope?
I grew a few Green Gelatos with not too much success. Mostly they were too bushy and larfy. I didn’t do it justice. Interested to see how your one works out.
@Lucidite, I grew a Green Gelato auto outdoors last summer and it was a really great plant. Unfortunately I start to think that this one is not so lucky 😕 Her sister is becoming a small bush and has started the stretch with a nice structure .. this one is slowly putting her third stage of leaves 😂 I think from now on I will describe them both in the diary to show also a healthier and stronger plant.
