@SlowpokeFuegobud, lol no, I don't own green plant nutes or plan on using them any time in the foreseeable future. I don't feel they backed a good horse for a contest partner, green plant nutrients is listed number 21 on popularity and has a total of 16 active diaries "diaries with out a harvest, and being updated in weekly intervals that are not abandoned". That's not a lot on a site with "thousands" of users. Granted maybe the thousands and thousands of users are not real and fabricated like some have said before by GD themselves or trolls. IDK bit early to go down that rabbit hole. In the end the limitations of this contest mean most people, if not all, will need to go out and buy the products just to be apart of it, and when the prize pool is just a shit ton of weed branded merch that no one wants to wear in public and more of that nutrient product you already purchased its not a good incentive IMO. What happens if you did not like the medium or nutrients in the first run, it now a massive waste of money. OR it could be good, not my type of gambit. My grow shop buddies had this green plant brand and they reduced it stock as it was not giving them the results they come to expect. Substrates like pro-mix are not crazy expensive and if they are going to be a prize they should be a years worth or something. I could just work for a week and buy the same amount of medium and nutrients of a brand I like for less, maybe even get some clothing without massive brands on it and not worry about this contest or the effort that is required should I want to to join it abiding by all the rules, but the rules are barley enforced on most contests lol. = HOWEVER, one thing has been gaining movement, and it started with the seedsman contest about bubba cheese, they did not officially send out any seeds and wanted to see how many users would just buy the product for the contest, even sent out a massive DM about the launch. By mid contest they did end up sending out seeds to others, maybe to populate the contest IDK. It's a marketing and sales tool. tricking the growers in buying the product prematurely and advertising it for free. All for the chance to win more of the same thing, so you can do it all over again.. I don't like this style of contest and think they are predatory and not in good faith. This is a marketing platform, if you want your products showcased don't make the people advertising them for you pay for them. I am curious to see how this one will end. I have a feeling many people will just add in their nutrients on a diary that does not use them. but I'm a bit of a pessimist when it comes to online behaviours. Many I will be pleasantly surprised. Who knows, time will tell.
