@TheValleysOrganic, GD will remove points from people who do this. They definitely catch the low-hanging fruit. I think it's less common now, because the people that engaged in it most often are finally realizing the effort is not worth it. I could be wrong. On the other side of that, are any of these accounts with 100s of questions made by GD? When in doubt, seek guidance from Lord Xenu and tom cruise.

@MindFlowers68, You do get a notification when you select an answer to your own questions. The notification is the leader board of this contest.

@MindFlowers68, The whole thing is in flux. Over the years i've seen it update more often and less often. Sometimes it freezes. Sometimes the questions freeze. if points were deducted, it could be GD removing something suspected as corrupt - not saying that the person on leaderboard is cheating.. more likely someone screwing around with the questions or that person would have been zeroed-out. It's also possible someone withdrew. E.G. I removed myself once, but seem to have gotten another 'solution' in the meantime, so i'm back on the board. I have seen my answer count get deducted after the contest ended. "They" might try to feed others a couple solution points to disguise the behaviour that mostly benefits their own acocunt. That's just a guess though. Maybe the reasons are due to less malicious things too.

@AsNoriu, prob some old questions from another month. questions are unfrozen now as well. Edit: and to your point I just got an answer to a question that I can not find. something abnormal to me. Will see if it is subtracted later on.

@AsNoriu, if there is a diary attached to a silly question i ask, i usually choose someone that isn't competing. or, at least try to. there may be an exception out there. Shin likes and relikes several of my posts each day... he's so cool. I can't believe i have such a big impact on his daily life. Must not have much going on. I'm happy he has a hobby, but I'm starting to think he's got one of those "stalker" alters of me in his closet.

@Shinsimilla, i followed that twat from Nobodies times ;))) i have his text , were he calls me his biggest fan ;))) and about points, its just strange, i didnt answered many, only few, 2 were selected, but they both had no diary attached, but on table i have two points, so system is not working or is faulty at the moment.

@m0use, bro I have a strawberry gorilla in my tent right now that I would love to have seen what it can do outdoors. This thing is 2 ft tall at 31/2 weeks old and it’s not done growing. Strawberry gorilla outside would be a an awesome idea. 2nd choice would be Sour Jealousy !

@MindFlowers68, @TheValleysOrganic, post the links to the questions you got answers for and we can check to see if we find anything. Normally the day the contest is resetting, old one finishing and before new one is posted their is a null period were any answers picked do not count towards any totals. So if the contest was not populated yet, it would not record a point and anyone's favor. As you both pointed out unless the question is linked to a diary it will also not count towards a point. Images on questions does not mean a diary is lined to it. Has to have a tag that says week1 or week3 exct. a number following the week. Here are some examples. growdiaries.com/grow-questions/77463-help This question has pics, is linked to week5 and the person who got it, is on the leaderboard. growdiaries.com/grow-questions/77441-trichomes-harvest This question has pictures but is not link to any diary as its missing the week tag on it so it will not count towards a point. growdiaries.com/grow-questions/77401-watering-help This question has no pics and is linked to a diary under week1 and its has yet to have a solution picked for it. SO open game. I have suggested to Growdiaries only questions asked in the month the contest that's being hosted should count as their is huge potential for exploitation for any question from the past. plus makes reviewing it easier should it be needed. Also you can loose points if the person who asked the questions hides the diary its linked to, it will remove the points from the total until they are unhid/published again. also a weird feature that could be used to exploit.

@TheValleysOrganic, mine are not either and i answer a few questions related to diaries. this is one I never expected to win but I think its good to learn and help people. i know that is frustrating though, the site can be very buggy

@Krisis, there's too many loonatics, status means 0. Like this question, some say add npk and that its overwatering issue, despite not knowing is it coco or soil. If soil no feed is needed yet, if its coco - no chance to overwater...
