NL #5 x Haze (70% sativa) height control

At what height would you recommend initiating 12/12 to prevent this strain from over-stretching after topping each plant twice to produce four tops? I hope to finish them at 3-4ft. Would I get away starting 12/12 at 9-11 inches?

sativas are known for being able to stretch high, so 9 to 11 inches sounds about right to me.. eventually it always depends on the genetics and the environment, so it's a bit difficult to say, but what you said sounds quite plausible.. if you're vertically limited in space, then i'd rather err on the lower side.. she's looking great by the way! happy growing

Hey gardener! Sativas often have a stretch that's bigger than indicas, like 2 to 3 times their size, so with 11 inches, you'll get double or triple in flower after the stretch. I have a friend who was growing NLx and she was pretty tall. After, since you did some topping, you should limit the stretch, and you can also pinch the upper branches to limit the stretch. Good luck to you, bella ciao!

Sativas can grow up to 200% of current plant height, especially if no LST is performed. So a simple little math says at 11", it could go to >33" with no LST. But............... who knows what will really happen, as grow conditions, issues, true strain phenos, can affect that.

Hello.. Hope you are well.. (love the name 👍🤣) it depends on ur pot size to final outcome really.. Most get a 1-2ft stretch in flowering.. If u grow her closer to 2ft then u can always bend her tops using lst if gets over 4ft..stay safe n gud luck with ur girls.. 👍🍀
