Hi Everyone! This is my first full stealth grow! I've planted 2x RQS Quick One seeds. Any questions or recommendations/advice are welcome! Planted in Jiffy peat pellets 09/05/2020 No sign of sprouts on 12/05/2020 One seed has sprouted and the other is due to emerge from the Jiffy. Exciting stuff! :-) Everything seems to be fine! 15/05/2020 Jiffy's are covered with transparent plastic to allow humidity to build. Water PH around 5-6 on runoff; I'm using RO filtered water from mains feed. Im only watering when the peat pellets look dry-ish rather than using a watering schedule. This is my first grow using LED Spider farmer SF-1000 after using a Luumi Black 600w HPS and ballast and having to throw in the towell 2 weeks in because my grow environment was way too hot; ive heard good things about the led board so well have to see how well it performs. 👍

Welcome to week 2; slow start so far. Not sure what ive done wrong or if ive just got one runt seed.. One is in the tent and beginning its veg stage looking healthy; the other is still in its peat pot on top of a router to keep it warm sitting at around 25c with plenty air flow and 60% humidity. I've setup a camera system to do a time lapse of the grow which ill be uploading at a later date. Both plants should shortly be transplanted from the jiffy pellets into coco and perlite. No nutes used yet but Ill be starting to use RQS growth boosted when they have gained some size. 17/05/2020 SF-1000 is running at 80% power around 80 watts drawn from the wall; i think this might be enough for vegging but not sure? 😕hmmm 19/05/2020 Ok so welcome to day 10. Ive watered once per two days roughly with the seedlings in 22-27c environment but still seeing slow growth. Also the one that has sprouted has lost a leaf or so. Whats going on?... Seedling number two is slowly surfacing and showing some plant material. No nutes used yet. 20/05/2020 Today i opened up the slower seedling to have a look at what was going on. I found that the taproot had actually germinated upside down and was trying to grow its self up to the surface with very little luck. This will deffo lead to her being behind schedule. Lets see how she looks in a few hours To resolve the problem i used this guide: https://www.growweedeasy.com/tap-root-upside-down-seedling 22/05/2020 Ok so plant number one is really starting to like its home; plenty of root development from what I can only guess is the blue light produced by the SF-1000. The root development on my last failed project with a 600w hps bulb was nowhere near as health as this plant at this stage! Im going to leave it a while before giving it any nutes or potting it up to one of my fabric pots. Maybe another few days depending on growth until i transplant to a bigger pot. Seed number two.... Its not done much after changing its orientation; i think this has really stunted its growth. Its really far behind the first seed. On the bright side it has changed colour from a yellow ish hue to more of a green colour. Is that a good thing or is it on its way out? I guess with the second one all i can do is wait and see if it comes back to life. Both seeds/seedlings are kept around 26-29c daily and are watered once every 48hrs depending on the water content of the medium. The SF-1000 is now running at 100% power and i will be ordering a second one soon for the flowing stage. RH stays around a constant 60-70% 23/05/2020 11:00 am Seedling number two looks as if its no more; its had been showing now growth and upon taking a closer look under the surface of the coco per-lite mix its no longer looking green and healthy. Im not going to turf it out just yet but Im not expecting anything from it. I think having it grow upside down for so long and light hitting the taproot when it was so young has really caused some issues. Im going to be replacing it with a freshly planted RQS northern Lights. The seed is being germinated in paper towel @~22c and then transplanted to a jiffy. The remaining quick one is growing and incredibly healthy; strong root development and the foliage is almost doubling by day. Good stuff.

Hi there! Sometimes the seeds take longer to germinate and there is lots of different factors affecting that. Viability and maturity of the seed, how the have been stored and handled etc. Some seeds can take even two weeks to germinate so never give up until you are sure it is not going to germinate 👌

Turns out my second seed was growing upside down and the taproot had been growing towards the light for ~8 days. I've since transplanted and the seed doesn't seem to be growing much at all; although it has changed colour from being a yellowish hue to green. Is it likely a dud now

It will put it a little behind but from what I can tell the most important part of the autoflower is the flowering cycle. That's when it needs little to no stress!! Cheers and happy growing!

25/05/2020 Steady growth after transplanting. Northern lights has germinated. 27/05/2020 Steady for RQS Quick One growth under SF-1000. Northern lights is about to pop out of the coco in the next day or so. 29/05/2020 Second SF-1000 light came today and has been added to the tent. Daytime air temperatures are reaching 33c due to the summer heat so I've had to turn the light off and improve ventilation by leaving the fans on and airing out the area. Watering when the medium is dry and no nutes used on either plant yet. Ive also started growing some sweet basil in the tent too. Due to sprout in a week or two although I'm not sure how it'll cope with the temps getting this high. Regardless ill be keeping a close eye on the medium and watering according to how dry it is. 02/06/2020 Managed to keep temperatures down by changing the duration of my light cycle and trying to shorten ducting runs. I just started using RQS Grow nutes as I thin my QO has suffered from a nutrient deficiency. As the bottom cotyledon leaf has started turning yellow. 03/06/2020 Adding the growth booster seems to have done the plant some favours regarding growth however the yellowing of the bottom leaves is still developing. The bottom fan leaf is now showing slight hints of brown amongst yellowing.

The hygrometer measure from the back part, if it's on soil and measuring 65% it's a really dry place! You should protect the little root system of your plant, covering the leaves so they don't demand too much water from it! Also try not to over water the soil, let it a bit dry, just water on the place the seedling is one time, the others you may water around her.

How do I mix A+B coco feed nutrients from hornet hydroponics? They have no instructions online or on any of the packaging, should I just use another brand to make an estimate? Link to nutes: https://www.kitbagshop.co.uk/product/hornet-coco-ab/

with a&b nutrients mix always the same amount of a & b 1ml a equals 1ml b For the strength of your feed it’s best to use a ppm meter so you know exactly what you feed..if you wanna feed with out ppm meter mix up a badge with low level of nutrients with younger plants and slowly increase the amount of nutrients as the plant grows..by the time you reach flower you should be feeding at the ratio the manufacturer has put on the label But once again I prefer a ppm meter above feeding blind Happy growing and stay safe

Please can someone take a look at this?does this look like a nutrient deficiency? I'm growing in coco and haven't used any nutrients until today(Day 22)... From what I've read online im missing nitrogen or magnesium. The plant is yellowing from the bottom up and is a light green.

Your plant still has cotlydon leaves and should still be young enough to go without feed, or very little. I'm unconvinced it's a deficiency. Your in coco which pretty much rules out overwatering... but could u be allowing ur coco to dry out? You should NOT let ur coco dry. In that case it would show underwatering yellowing. Your lights look at a good height so it's not light intensity. Mabey and I mean slight chance it's a deficiency it be nitrogen but I'm not leaning that way.

yeah.. give her normal concentration in coco. At least around the plant, not the full pot, if larger. match canopy, maybe a bit more. probably good to rehydrate outer area too but not with nutes, otherwise you end up with buildup where roots don't exist. seeds are good for a while. watch the cotyledons for earliest signs it needs more nutes. typically, coco is buffered too, so you typically have a little in there to start. see those tiny leaves fade a tad, start your regular feeding relative to plant size.

Both fed and watered to runoff with the following: PH: 5.6 PPM: 236 Nutes/L: 0.9ml/L Solution Temp:17c Steady although slow growth. 17/06/2020 - Steady growth on both plants. Feeding using the mix made on 15th. Growth speed is on the up. 21/06/2020 - I've added some new kit to the room: A New extractor fan and repurposed my old one as an intake to fight the heat from the long summer days which has really helped. New recycled plastic trays for the fabric pots to sit in and collect runoff. Both lamps are running around 80% capacity. Feeding using 2ml/L of Hornet Hydro @6.0 PH and 350~PPM. The nutrient mix is stored and used around 20-22c. Going to be starting some low-stress training shortly. The time-lapse is coming along nicely too. P.S the 3rd plant in the tent is basil :)

23/06/2020 - Swapped nutrients to canna coco a+b currently at 12.5ml/5L PH:5.7 PPM:726. The smaller plant is being fed at ~50% dilution. The tent environment is between 21c and 28c with relatively low humidity (20-30%) depending on the time of day. Growth is rapid! Pre-flowers are showing on RQS Quick one; only a few weeks left for her now. She may be small but im still super excited :) :) 👍 24/06/2020 - its 30c outside and it's affecting the temp of the tent; ill be changing the light schedule to 20/4 again (just for today) and turning off one of the lights to mitigate heat during QO's flowering. I'm wishing I had an ac unit right now. 😂 Update - highest temp recorded intent during pre-flowering was @29.8c before the lights were shut off for mid-afternoon/evening. The tent is currently 11c below the ambient temperature in the loft so my fans and ducting must be doing some good work. It is HOT. 3 fans are running at: 1x Inline Intake 4" 155m3/hr. 1x Inline Ram Extractor 4" 198m3/hr. 1x Ram oscillating fan to circulate the air in the tent. 25/06/2020 - Preflowers are appearing everywhere; i thought this plant wasn't going to produce much ha. Still little to no smell... lights are still on 20/4 light schedule due to the summer heat. Plants are due a watering tomorrow; going to be trying out superthrive vitamin supplement. 26/06/2020 - Both lights are on 24hrs at a distance of 55cm as summer temps have dropped. Tent environment is around 26c and low humidity. 👍 29/06/2020 - Canna coco a+b nutes have made both plants shoot up. Far far better than hornet hydro. QO is beginning to show loads of bud sites and NL has shot up in the last 3 or 4 days by a factor of at least 2; almost 3. Ph: 5.7 TDS: 728 Solution Temperature: 17c Ambient temp 24c Quick one is currently: 37cm tall Northern Lights is currently: 12 cm tall

05/06/2020 - Plant seems to be recovering well after feeding a higher concentration of nutes at ph 6. Growth has exploded again mainly on the pistils; they are plentiful all over the plant. 06/06/2020 - Plant seems to have recovered. Looking a good colour of green and growth has been on the up for the past couple days. Its drinking plenty water per day and looks healthy. Ive upped my nutes from 25ml/10L to 40ml/10L with added PK13/14 as were in flowering. 07/06/2020 - We're back on track; using the same concentration of nutrients as yesterday with more PK13/14 added. Not used any super thrive yet as I've seen some bad feedback on it when used with cannabis online. Pistils and buds are fattening and showing EVERYWHERE!! Northern lights is really dense and a lush deep green; no real strong odour from either plant yet. Nutrient mix 40ml/10L Canna coco A+B 10ml PK13/14 PH 6 Runoff 6.1ph Temperature ~23c I'm not going to top either plant for my first grow although i will be doing some defoliation tomorrow to improve QO's yield. 08/07/2020 - Same nute mix used as yesterday; shes drinking at about a rate of 1L or more per day! NL is growing into a very healthy looking plant. Very little smell inside or outside of the tent. Some very minor defoliation of smaller leaves at the bottom of QO has been done today to enhance bud growth. Lights are still on 24hrs a day. It's looking very good!! 11/07/2020 - Plant growth is relentless on both; they're drinking their full watered pot in less than 1-2 days average. QO is showing many flowers on nodes and NL is dense; a lush green and very healthy. I'm happy with how the grow is currently performing. Feed was at 40ml a+b and 20ml of pk13/14 PH 6.2 TDS 1050 Solution temp 17 Ambient temp 22 Runoff PH 6.3 p.s. The plants have somehow managed to grow roots through my fabric smart pots wth? 14/07/2020 - Nothing crazy to report; nothing much has changed barring that the plants are covered in sticky waxy pistils and they smell great. The pictures don't do it justice... I think I'm onto a winner here. I've tied some of the hefty weight-bearing branches to the tent poles to stop her snapping. 16/07/2020 - Defoliation tonight; well see how they look in the next few days. They're looking very healthy with loads of bud sites on the plant. Hopefully, I can further maximize yields. Nute mix and ph are almost identical as last feed. Temps are around 26c at the hottest.

Nothing too crazy to report from this week; her smell is potent and shes covered in trichomes. CANNA PK 13/14 2 mll
Just waiting to cut QO down now.... No massive updates with this week; very similar to the last month or so. NL is getting on really well; its been massively defoliated and has responded well; NL is turning out to be a far stronger and more pungent smelling plant than QO Nutes used this week: 40ml/10L of a+b 15ml/10L of PK13/14 1 drop of superthrive ph ~5.8 ppm ~1150
