Yellowing Sugar Leaves

Havingago
Havingagostarted grow question 4 years ago
Noticed the sugar leaves on bud leaves are also yellow. My understanding is this can have a big effect on final yield?? Flushed the gal but as no amber trichomes yet and want 20%, should keep flushing now on or resume feeding till some amber??? Cheers

Many thanks all. Will continue to flush plant 2, hopefully has enough in it to get to the end, lighter feed to P1. Also ordered some GHE Ripen so will have that to fall back on. The light was 10” but lifted 1” a week ago as max I could go due the height constraints, but from your comments have modified my drain stand (not sure neighbours happy about the drilling at 6am😳) so they now sitting at 14” so happy days. Like said, hopefully they will now Ripen in peaceful 👍 Learning all the way so cheers all 😎

Hi there! If your grow light is really at 25cm I think that this yellowing and foxtailing is a sign of light stress. I think that the plant wont need as much light in the end and they suffer heat and/or light stress much easier in the final stages of flowering. I suggest you dim your light or lift it up maybe 10cm for the final flushing time so she can ripe in peace! 👌

Just saw the foxtailing... if checking trichomes don't judge based on new growth like that - find a normal spot on top, middle, below etc... It looks quite ripe, i'd expect triches to change quickly when they do.

if those leaves below are glossy in RL (hard to tell in photo) you probably have fed a bit too much. If that's the case, regular ph-only irrigations would start to see a healthier green within a few days... if near end and want to flush, it's probably safe to continue doing that unless you see the canopy quickly get decimated. Without any green, it can't power blooming. You can flush better when you are familiar with a plant - like a clone. It's difficult to guess especially with less experience when to start. No worries. It's mostly "bro-science" anyway. I'd do it with that plant if the leaves were glossy though.. not as a flush just to fix a toxicity. 8 weeks completed? you don't have long left... if you see a a strong fade overcoming canopy, give a dose of ferts and have no worries. if the canopy ever dies in a complete way, you might as well harvest what you can soon before it rots on the stem.

Hello.. Hope you are well.. Despite the fading they look great for ur 1st grow.. Well done.. After looking at ur dairy i see she is on 8th wk so personally keep flushing as she will continue to use her reserves.. If u get trouble again u cud use GHE RIPEN.. does wot it says on the bottle.. - its a pure pk solution to speed up this process.. Stay safe n gud luck on future gardens.. 👍🍀

Hey :-) Look with a microscope 👌If the trichome heads are about 70% milky and 30% clear, you can start with the flush. If the trichomes are about 70% milky and 30% amber, it is a very good time to harvest 👍🙏🏻 but do not pay attention to the leaves of the trichomes on the buds 👍
