Athosanswered grow question 7 years ago I stopped using jiffy's because they always gave me trouble.
They stopped growing because they are rootbound. At 10 to 15 days I usually transplant from 16 oz (470 cc) cups to 2 liter pots, and the cups are completely filled with roots.
I also have seen seedling stop developing roots in jiffys, I've even read about some seedbanks recommending not to use them because, since they are made out of pure peat , their pH is too acid (this happened to me and that was the last time I used the things).
Many times, seedlings will not brake the fine mesh in the jiffys.
What I recommend you to do is to prepare your pots to transplant the seedlings, then carefully cut and remove the mesh and put them inside your previously prepared pots. Once they have more space they will explode with growth.
