Ran into PH issues that ruined my last grow so I decided to start over. Bought a BlueLabs PH meter and will be buying a PPM meter before first feeding. So second times the charm! Trying 2 plants this time. Both are ILGM OG Kush autoflower. Growing in a 18x18x56 grow tent. Using 4in ac infinity inline fan for active outtake, and a 6 inch oscillating ac infinity fan. Using 3 gallon fabric pots and Soil in pots is as follows: Bottom 1/2= 75% strawberry fields, 25% perlite, 1 1/2 tbs dolomite lime Top 1/2 = 37.5% happy frog, 37.5% ocean forest, 25% perlite, 1 1/2 tbs dolomite lime. I added dolomite lime to the soil mix after reading up about PH issues in fox farm soil. Since PH was my main issue last grow I added it to see if it would help. I treated the pots with 1/2 gallon plain ph’d water to 6.3. Seeds were germinated in a paper towel and sprouted after 1 day in the soil. At the moment I am spraying the top of the soil lightly anytime it looks dry. Humidity domes will be used for about 2 weeks until the plants establish their first node or two. 150w Viparspectra xs is set to 60% at about 20inches. Will drop it to 18 and raise to 75% slowly over first two weeks. I learned a lot last grow, and hope to take this one all the way to harvest. Any tips or comments are greatly appreciated.

I have two seedlings just a few days old. Both under same conditions. One looks perfect, one looks a little curled and deformed. Anyone know if this is an issue? Or just a minor mutation?

Should I LST?? I’m growing ILGM OG Kush auto flower. I know I probably should, but part of me wants to just let her rip and see what happens all natural. However I’m in a small tent (18x18x56) and the website says the plants usual height is about 40 inches. What would you do?

I believe your Light distance for flower is 14". So pending how the plant reacts your looking at 10-18" away from the canopy. Add in the height of your pot guessing 8"? That gives you 30-38" plant. And that's considering your light is mounted to the top of your tent. Training is definitely recommend.

Things are getting a bit cramped with my LST. Some fan leaves are buried under others or are on the ground. Should I trim some lower fan leaves to give it room to breathe? Or should I let it rock as long as they are not blocking any light?

Yea, go ahead and do some defoliation so the plant can breathe, it won't hurt it at all, just don't take too much off.

Unfortunately I overwatered and immediately after the plant started showing a deficiency. The plant has been healthy until this so I’m thinking it’s related but not sure. I’m sure the PH is good, So do you think this could be related to overwatering or is it just a deficiency?

The cause for the small dots are the very first signs off a calcium deficiency. Let the soil dry out between waterings. When the top layer is completely dried out you can give water again. Never give water closer then 5cm to the plant to make sure that she still has acces to oxygen. Never give more then 10% from the pot volume with water and from the next watering use a small dose with a cal-mag supplement.

Deficiency my plant is exhibiting has progressed. I checked PH repeatedly, and it does not seem to be a ph issue. Gave Gaia Green nutes 2 weeks ago and nothing else since but fish shit with waterings. Had watering issues earlier in grow not sure if that’s the cause. Any tips/fix?

I use Gaia Green a lot and there formula is not fortified in magnesium, its got pretty much everything else but magnesium. I would recommend adding in 1/2 tbsp once a month or two of epsolm salts. Adding in some extra microbes if you don't already is also a great option, black strap molasses also goes a long way with Gaia Green in soil based grows but I see you all ready do this. I would only do it once a month as well to much sugar in the medium can cause some issues. PPS, if your using power bloom and all purpose, the only extras you need are worm castings, magnesium and some seaweed for extra K, or well this is what I find when growing with them. all the extras dusts can cause some sludge in the medium, maybe one add it once your mixing it up at transplants but they are all oxides and not readily available to plants and can take time to break down. In short, I thin you need a bit more magnesium and less rocks dusts. I am for 6.4-6.8 PH and have not been disappointed. Watering is also a great point to note, only as needed and allowing it to use up a lot of it before adding more. We will not be notified of any reply or tag [@] in the [questions] part of the website, if you need to reach out with other information use your DM "direct mailbox" in the bottom right hand corner of the page. it looks like a little paper airplane icon. Best Of Luck!

Not sure how to go about this deficiency. PH is solid at 6.5 so it’s not a ph issue. It seemed I had corrected the deficiency when it first appeared a few weeks ago, but now the brown spots seem to be spreading again. I think it might be K but not sure? Any ideas?

Looking good, but really hungry! :) I'd feed calmag plus a normal NPK dose. Make sure it's suitable for the flowering phase, meaning less N and more PK, at your stage, you might want the highest number of the NPK to be the P. :) Good luck, buddy!! Just a word: with organic nutes, you will have an effect for sure, but you will always run behind those deficiencies. I would get some mineral back ups!

Looking at your photos through diary - overwatering is last thing it could be ... That empty spot of pot is always dry, in any of it. Feeding wont sort it. Right ph and watering regime could, at least i think .

@TheProfessorGrows, yes she shows sex, aka for auto - in preflower/early flowering mode. you have to saturate all pot and next time introduce water to pot, only when first is consumed. its regime of watering not the amounts does over or under waterings ... now girl in shock, anything can annoy her, light, temps, humidity now, same as in real life ;)))) they are divas sometimes ... meters lies, make sure you get real readings and not digging yourself bigger hole ... but watering right - is a must now.

@AsNoriu, Thanks for the tips as always dude! I did a slurry test and the PhH of the soil is at 7.0. This makes sense because I pretreated the soil with dolomite lime which balances ph at 7. But it’s definitely possible she’s just stressed because of poor watering regiment. She’s a little droopy but definitely still growing so I’ll just be patient. Do you think she is in pre flower from the pictures?

Take any leaves from her and 35 g is max, even if she will develop and wont be harmed by your bad growing techniques ... Leaves cant touch or lay on soil, same as one above other. Leave tucking is option instead of ripping it off. Use wires, sticks, but leave all mass, its auto girl ... I don't know how much you water her, but she looks like underwatered plant. If she would grow a bit more - full drain of pot and a run off is a must. On watering day 700 ml 3 times is a must too, do 5-10 min intervals between each watering. Lift pot and water only when its light next time you give her anything again. Fill pots next time till verge, now no air movement in that are, stagnant with high humidity air can bring diseases . Try roll down like sock or bent one lair down for this grow. Your light was too intense during veg, so adding more soil is almost impossible, no stretch, next time either dim light or have distance higher ... Ph ph ph ph ph ph and one more time PH ;) It's most important in soil. My two pence ;)

@TheProfessorGrows, in a week max she will need those 2 .1 liters every 3-4 days if all goes well. I would say its optimal amount to saturate pot right. While she is small, maybe it can take 6-8 days to consume all, only lifting of pot will tell. Most important points i gave you, if any questions, this platform has chat, bottom right corner, press arrow. Ph, watering regime and VPD are 3 most important to follow in soil. Then goes feed and tlc ;)

@AsNoriu, Thanks for all the advice dude! I will definitely practice that watering technique in the future to make sure she’s getting the right amount of water. I will also try rolling back the pot to get the air circulating. Any other tips you have are greatly appreciated! Thanks again dude, happy growing!

@TheProfessorGrows, Personally, I'd drop the light much lower and turn it down since the girls don't need much light yet. I would do so, not because it is better for the plants, but to save energy. Also, make sure you calibrate your instruments regularly. I noticed a while ago that my pH seemed off and when I checked my bluelab pen, it was 0.5 off. I had been too lazy and didn't calibrate it. Fortunately, I caught it early and was able to correct it before it was a problem.
