To get to the time of day I want to start the 12/12 lighting, my plants are always in 32-36hrs of darkness, prior. Now there are some who say that it only produces mold, well that may be with their existing humidity and ventilation restrictions for those folks???? I have never gotten a mold problem, and my average pistil wait time has been around 10 days. If that is normal for just doing 12/12 at the get go, then it really doesn't jump start your pre-flower stage.

Hi there! Sure you can do it and there is some debate on the internet that 24-48hrs of darkness before flipping the switch actually quickens the change to flower. I have not yet tested this but sounds promising. Flowering hormone is produced during the dark period and the theory is that more darkness before flowering could halp the plant to produce more hormones and this way she knows for sure its time to bloom! Dunno but might be

Hey Jimbo. No stress just putt them on the 12/12 cycle. You don't have to wait 24hrs of darkness in my opinion. If your lights are on throughout the day then just start the flowering cycle when you wish to implement it. It won't stress your plants unless you mess around too much with the cycle. I would advise that you are sure and are ready when you switch so that you don't have to mess around with the lights💁‍♂️🏼 Peace✌️🏻
