Concerned about this plant. No stretch whatsoever yet. Veg period has been longer than expected for a auto (7 weeks) which has probably been a god send.
It’s throwing so many new shoots that the sun simply cannot reach them. Should I be defoliating or just wait?

Your girl looks like she is stressed out some. Not sure if it under feeding or some lockout going on. I wouldnt do any trimming on her until you see improvement and it is before it goes into flower. I would run straight ph water 6.3 and check your runoff ec and ph and make sure things are within limits. Hope this helps

Hello,
I've had a few above average time auto's and it was a surprise but nice in the end.
I would say definitely do a small defoliation if there's lots of growth missing out on sunshine, just do it slowly remove a couple, evaluate and then remove more...
She's definitely a nice bushy plant.

Dark leaves and short/compact plant18 days from seedling. Dark and a bit rumpled/twisted leaves. Branches are coming out but they don't have much space to breathe from the big leaves. Started topping with some chicken manure pellets, too much nitrogen? Also, the 36W LED lamp is only 20 cm away.
