With so much info on the net, so many different techniques, what’s the best way to dry and cure flowers for best taste and smoothness. I’m interested to hear ways to do it without a tent, in the case other girls are ripening in there. I understand you need empty tent to dry? Tx

The general rule of thumb is the slower you dry the more terpenes are preserved. A lot of people dry at 60%RH, but this runs a higher chance for molds. I usually dry at 50% RH for several weeks until the stem "snaps" inside the bud. Dry trim, cure in jars at 62% with Boveda packs, burp every 4 hours for the first week or two, then once a day for two weeks, and then I always say its done curing when it smells and tastes good.

The proper way is to dry the plants in the dark, in a ventilated place, for me for 7-12 days, monitoring the RH and temperature. The ideal ranges are between 20°C and 24°C. RH: 58-62%. After drying, I store them in glass jars, continuing to monitor the humidity inside the jar; if the humidity rises, then I open the jar once a day. After a few days, I stop monitoring the humidity and let time pass, the longer the better. For me, the peak point for smoking is between 45 and 90 days. Cheers
