Its bad if you cut the leaf, keep it on the plant, its good for diagnosis purposes, for feeding purpouses for the plant as the leaf still holds nutrients that are available for the plant, and if pests atack like slugs snails or caterpilars they have a chance of atacking that innactive leaf. Conclusion, leave it on, good luck on your grow my growmie.

If it's not getting much light, go ahead and cut it. If it still receives a fair amount of light, it will contribute more energy to photosynthesis than the plant spends keeping it alive so it's worth having. Hope this answers your question.
