New seeds have been germinated will be placed in solo cups today with pre soaked coco. I’ll put them u see the t5 for the first week then moved to the mh. They’ll be a fan blowing outside the tent so the air is still moving but no direct fan on the plants untill they strengthen up as @chevs710 said. @fusion Hopefully the pinch doesn’t occur this time around And again thanks again for all the inputs, it’s greatly appreciated guys.

Not peat pellets. Peat pots with the soil in them. That is what has worked for me. Then when it comes time to transplant them (do this when Soil is dry) you cut out the bottom, make a slit down the side, and pull the peat pots. The plant won't even notice the transplant. You mainstems look too long. The humidity dome will prevent this and protect the plants in their juvenile stages till ready for their final pots. If you think pests are an issue I have a pesticide you can recommend to add to your feedings and will work without harming your girls even into flowering.

When I pop seeds I use just distilled water, dont use a fan till they get a bit stronger or grows a stalk. IMO

@fusion I’ve noticed in these 2 batches that ive lost its sounds like dampening off but what you’ve described sounds close to what it is, as I have noticed the pinch ( new reference to me ) was on most off them and yes the light was around 2ft away and I had an oscillating fan blowing back and forth so maybe it has been this with a combination of giving nutes early First grow went fine kept the exact same set up for this one except got a mh lamp instead of hps for veg and now I’ve lost 2 batches of seeds. I can rule out that it was the seeds as they were from reputable Californian breeders that test and regulate seeds so it’s on my end

@killab1405 hey man, thanks for the reply I’ll drop you a dm? I had my first successful harvest in June with some zkittlez, blue cookies and critical SSH I never encountered any problems like this and can’t get my head around how I can’t get by week 2 now lol. I’m using a tent 1.2x2.4x2.4 Eco thrive 70/30 coco/perlite mix 250w mh veg - 600w hps flower Got peat pellets but prefer solo cup Large propagator if needed (RH averages at 50%-60%) Temps were a bit high(26-28 Celsius) as we’ve had a heat waves in Europe. I want to rule out that it’s aphids after @batguano said it could’ve been but I’ve checked through the bag of coco and it seems fine I’ve also disinfected the tent and have it a thorough clean. Also the eco thrive coco I’ve got is only 3/4 weeks old from a trusted supplier. Currently have 4 regular pineapple pez x melonade germinating that should have cracked shells tomorrow. Then be moved into solo cups and put into the tent or do yous think peat pellets would be better?

Light is what I'm thinking.. and the fan. Can see her pinched at the base. Thinking you're light is too high/weak causing her to build a long stem then the fan blows her over causing the pinch. Stand her back up with a toothpick and cover the stem until the pinch with soil.

Another thought I had. Your main stem is pretty long on that one and my guess the rest are like that too. Get a cheap humidity dome. It'll help em get nice and strong if you start with peat pots. Then transplant them into the fabric pots (3 gallons or more)

BTW saw you don't have a diary. Look at mine for any tips. How many fans are you using? Do you have a grow tent? I'm willing to help you step by step if I need to. Growing these is a beautiful thing and I will help you get it done ☺️

It's definitely either the soil or your light. Or both. On my first grow I went a little cheap on a few things and deaply regretted it. I'm new to growing to so I'm no expert but this is what has worked for me and follow these instructions and it'll work for you. Get ZEN BLEND soil, Living Soil(super soil concentrate), CaliMagic, some compost tea,(all of which I mentioned are on Amazon), and especially watch your waterings. Not sure if you are already using them but if not get fabric pots or air pots if you want to spend a little more but I use fabric and it works just fine. I'll update after I look at your setup. Hope this helps and please let me know if I can help in any other way. I love growing and you will too once you get the right setup your plants will love you for it and you'll have very few troubles my friend.

@batguano Hey man thanks for answering, you think it’s something to do with the coco I’m using? I did think of that as I haven’t been overwatering the seedlings and now this has happened to 2 lots of seeds with 2 separate bags of coco from the same retailer. The brand is eco thrive 70/30 coco/perlite mix. I think I maybe get rid of it get new coco and bleach my tent out but kind of stumped on what to do right now trying to identify what it’s been. All answers have sounded what it could be

@the8thchevron hey man thanks for the reply, first time around never had this problem watered at a normal rate and all was well. They have had a very low amount of nutes around 1/12th, with these new ones I’ve got germinating I’ll be putting into 0.5L pots adding a little cinnamon to stop any fungus and water them if they need any but it will be very small amounts. I don’t want to loose any more seeds after this dampening off situation

Hi Loyal, I checked your previous grow and it seems there is something in your soil causing this. It might be fungus and aphids at the same time. In this post if I saw it right, you have aphids attacking your plant. They are those small bugs which eat/suck your plant (green to brown according to its maturity). There are also white hairs which might be the fungus. Change your soul right away mate! If it is aphids, try to use disinfectants or remove them with a toothpick. (probably it is and a very serious one for a small plant like this) I hope this helps mate, Happy growing Y

Looks like damping off but you're in coco coir so that should be very difficult to do. I think it's more likely you're using nutes at this stage when they need none. Your extremely dark leaves make me think this is likely. As for watering, it's much better to underwater a bit in the beginning. This will force her to build a larger, stronger root system. It also won't hurt to use hydroguard or something similar to protect your roots. She won't need anything else for about 20 days or so, just pH'd water. No nutes.

Fungal growth is what causes dampoff. The cinnamon wont allow fungal growth. I also start my girls under a 315 watt cmh bulb about 2 feet above the girls. They like good light right off. Cheers

you may want to start a new one, this dampened off and your roots underneath prob are suffocating, which sucks but if you try to save her she may not recover since she is so young and her roots are not developed yet, this is the case when you over water, it sucks but start another and you will be happier to save that time by getting a healthy grow

@gmslave thanks for the reply I will add some cinnamon in to these next ones I have 4 x pineapple pez x melonade seeds left so I’ve popped them. Hopefully I will get by the 1/2 weeks this time, in my last grow I never encountered dampening also I will wash the coco with a very light feed to compensate for the coco having nothing in it. It’s just strange to me that this time around that it’s happened to 2 batches of seeds and my first run was a breeze with the exact same set up I’m using now. I’m trying to find what has caused it so I can prevent it in the future

It is damping off and a little bit of cinnamon sprinkled around them and watered in will stop this from happening. Cheers friend

They stop growing by the 5/6th day and after that they die. I can’t figure it out. I want to say it dampening off but the coco isn’t soaked the whole time and also there is a good air flow with the oscillating fan
