Hi Ionic, the best thing to do is to always go with the trichomes, the yellowing of the leafs should be a normal process called senescence . but based on your trichomes you should plan if you stop feeding. in soil i personally stop feeding 2 weeks before harvest , in coco it's one week , five days, in hydro it's just one day. basically if you regularly check the trichomes you can understand the rate of rippening or the pace of maturity, so based on that pace you can decide when you harvest, usually i start the flush when i have few ambers, 10-20% clear and 80% milky , something like that.
