hey there YellahJelle, the only determinant of harvest maturity should be the trichomes, the pistills turn brown for any number of reasons and they dont tell you if the plant is ready. they can turn brown basically when their membrane breaks down so because of temperature, wind, contact, bugs, genetics, etc. Another thing to remember is that after the chop a lot of trichomes and a lot of pistills will turn brown anyway. I would say, see for yourself, test it out when you harvest by monitoring the trichs and the pistills. But yeah, the main thing is that if you wait trichomes could oxidize and you could have a different potency profile or even weaker weed. Base yourself on the trichomes not the pistills that's most the genetics anyway. Hope this helps ! 🚀
