DesertChief
DesertChiefstarted grow question 4 years ago
Hi. I am first time grower in 4th week. My pH is 8 and I think there is Nitrogen deficiency. Safest and most effective way to bring pH down quickly and save these? Soil I think is bad as well but not sure what I can do as this point. Thank you !!

hi there, that pH is much to high that's right, but what you really want to do is bring it down to 6 slowly otherwise you'll get some pH fluctuation issues. This can be done with commercially available pH down, i like powder better than liquid because i find it easier to measure . However, what i'm seeing is overwatering problems more than that one. So I can see puffy and wrinkled space between the veins of the leafs, this is overwatering. Overwatering causes problems like root problems which is why the plant is wilting. So if you follow a strict wet/dry cycle and the fix the roots the plant should recover. Stop overwatering by using the pot lifting method www.youtube.com/watch . To break down the problem roots use something like humic acid or enzymes which are natural products that should be available almost anywhere. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Ph is to high, get to proper level for the type of medium your using. Soil 6.8 for veg around 6.3 for flower. Soiless 5.8 for veg, 6.3 for flower. Cheers
