When should I untie my branches?

When does everyone usually untie there branches like what week? 2 weeks before harvest? I've been making sure the string is not cutting into the branches. Advice input opinions greatly appreciated.

What happens to my autos ? Too much fertilizer ? Nutrient block ?First week I tried the devil and fertilized my autos as little as possible, knowing it was useless... Big mistake.
After that I could see signs of too much fertilizer, i.e. pointed leaves and since then, slow growth with very small leaves. What has happened?
