Strangely, leaving the leaves on is better and faster for drying your flowers, as there is more surface area for the water to "escape" from. If you wet trim, all the water in your flowers must "escape" through the flowers themselves, which can leach some of the terpenes out at the same time. Also the trichomes are much better protected against falling off if you dry the flowers with the leaves left on. If you wet trim, all the trichomes are exposed and can get rubbed off much more easily, mainly just from handling them. If you leave the leaves on, and hang the flowers upside down, the leaves will droop around your flowers, forming a kind of protective layer.
