Strangely, leaving the leaves on is better and faster for drying your flowers, as there is more surface area for the water to "escape" from. If you wet trim, all the water in your flowers must "escape" through the flowers themselves, which can leach some of the terpenes out at the same time. Also the trichomes are much better protected against falling off if you dry the flowers with the leaves left on. If you wet trim, all the trichomes are exposed and can get rubbed off much more easily, mainly just from handling them. If you leave the leaves on, and hang the flowers upside down, the leaves will droop around your flowers, forming a kind of protective layer. To protect your flowers and their trichomes to their best standard, it is best to trim right before consumption. Hope this helps.... Organoman.

Cheers for the answers @coriander and @HarbingerOfHarvests - Unfortunately the UHaul thing is out as wrong side of Atlantic for them! Ended up re-purposing a 40" TV box with some twisty ties through it and a PC Case box (Its pretty big) and did the same, some twisty ties through it...if you get a chance, check out the pics in the diary and see if there is enough space in there for the air. Any special considerations I should take as this is my 1st dry solo? Have left leaves on so will dry trim...unfortunately as it took what looks like a day under the 10K with no water, I wanted to try and preserve something so it doesn't get too bad and dry too quickly. May try one of the other Kushes with a wet trim (when I take them down this weekend/early next week...and will probs flush too to see if i can tell a difference - all for science and argument of course!!!). Any further help greatly appreciated...thanks again!

Not sure if this is what you're asking, but If you need something simple to dry a plant in, they sell a wardrobe box at most moving places (Uhaul etc...)$15 - pretty big and it comes with a crossbar for hanging clothes that works pretty well to hang from.

Iv'e had to do things like this in the past.. And honestly the only thing you can do is just cut it down.. Often times when growing different strains plants will finish at times.. Just get the gloves on and try to be a gentle as you can with what's still alive and kicking.. The plant you are chopping doesn't have to survive but obviously the more you touch it the worse it is The trichomes fall off and that's a bad thing so yea best of luck and have at her :).
