Distance Between Plants

Wendyliciousstarted grow question 4 years ago
Are my Plants too close together? I'm reading about "hermies" (idk what it means, btw), cross pollination & low THC. Are they OK like this for now? Do they need to be further apart? How far apart should they be? What about when they're moved to the 5 GA, buckets (w/holes)?

Hermies is when a plant produces the male sex organs in spots or a spot. There is no picture. But I grow mine right next to one another. Just not touching. I don't want a fight for light. I think the other issues you mentioned from close quarters are not as significant as you think. The warehouse growers would of had major issues then. They grow like I do close but not touching. Good luck

Right now your plants are doing great and with good distance between them! "Hermie" is short for "hermaphrodite" which means a plant that produces both male and female flowers - some even call it trans/bi-sexual "Cross pollination" is when one plant (of one variety/strain) fertilizes another plant (another variety/strain) by pollinating it (usually involves a male and a female plant) Usually in a grow space you don't want your plants to be too close to each other to a point where the leaves and colas start shading each other, this will cause less light exposure, and will increase chances of mold and mildew by lowering airflow/circulation between the plants! This is the most important thing to keep in mind when spacing the pots. Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)
